Missing heads

Okay, what is up with the headless pictures? I get it, you want to show off your body that you have worked very hard to get, but seriously, Most of the male profile pictures have no heads, and a lot of female profile pictures are shots from the boobs down.

Why? Am I just too old to get it? I want to see all your pretty shiny faces that go along with that rocking body you worked so hard to get. Why? Because it helps me stay motivated to put a face to the abs or I want to get. Its like a challenge, I can see your face every time I head into the kitchen, or when I want to quit planking.

    they want to show off what they are proud of and some don't want to be recognized. Same for people who use different people and/or items as their avatar.

    I can't figure out how to take a pic while holding my phone and get my whole body in the shot. No full length mirrors in the house, so everything just looks like a boob shot.

    But good point! I shall remedy that when another picture taker is handy.

    I'm guessing they want to show their progress, but not be recognized by people they know, future employers, family members, etc. I don't think there is anything wrong with wanting to keep some personal details hidden. For me, I don't need clients, employers, etc to see me in a bikini.

    I am guilty of this sometimes actually. Its not that I dont want to show my face, it is more about the fact that I have not figured out how to take a pic with my iphone, while by myself, and be able to fit my body and face in at the same time without it being from a big distance in a mirror.

    I also dont want half naked photos with my face in it possibly making it around the internet. But mostly it is because I cant master the camera well.

    i chopped most of my head off in my progress pics. it’s not that i did it for privacy reasons, just that, my face isn’t want i wanted to focal point of the pictures to be. plus I had be in the process of stripping the color out of my hair iand was a really ugly orange and i didn’t want people seeing my face attached to that hair, it’s bad enough i had to go out in public with it.

    Yup. I always obscure my face in some way on the pics you wild people can see. Sunglasses, camera, etc. People who know me wouldn't recognize me like this most likely.

    Its not about caring what other do, its about understanding why its being done. I am completely aware that I am not trendy, nor at all in touch with the youth. I am a total spazz and that's okay. But I wanted to understand the headless culture I am a part of.

    And you know, everything is about me. (okay its not, but it would be nice if I was the star for once) I want faces to see when I need more motivation. It helps me. And well, all the amazing abs and backs, and arms, and well bodies is incredibly motivating for a girl who has none of those amazing muscles but wants them. But often I see the faces of the people who motivate me the most. Those who are supportive, yet at the same time challenging.
