Yes to all 4.0

1) Date/Marry someone of a different colour? I am a white agnostic, my boyfriend (soon to be fiance) is a Turkish Muslim, so YES.
2) Adopt a child of a different colour? YES. We've discussed adoption, because of my medical issues. We both have no issue with having a kid of another color/race.
3) Allow your child to date/marry someone of a different colour? ABSOLUTELY. And in accordance with everything in the supreme courts here in the states today, they can marry someone of the same sex too, and I would still love them just the same.
4) Accept a vital organ transplant/allow a family member to do so if that organ belonged to someone of a different colour? YES. It's life and death. Plus I think the organ donor registry doesn't disclose that information, but I could be wrong.0 -
Just for the record, nobody but extremists "think" they are racist.
....just puttin that out there0 -
5. It's color, not colour.

I ask these questions, because they came up in a conversation with my (now-ex) BF, and I was completely SHOCKED at his answers.
For me: it's a "yes" to all 4. I really don't care if you're black, white, red, yellow, or blue. Unless you're blue because you're choking. Then I'd probably help you.
1. I already am.
2. I have a mixed child, so I don't see why not.
3. Love is love.
4. Yes0 -
Yes across the board. A non issue for me.0

I am currently in a inter-racial relationship so yes.
I don't think I would adopt but my kids are bi-racial so yes.
My daughter is also in an inter-racial relationship. They are both bi-racial actually so yes.
And I would take any organ that I need and I wouldn't even ask what nationality it came from so that is another yes.0 -

You're Canadian? I'm sorry, but your survey is invalid...
But to answer your "survey",
I date people i'm attracted to.
I would not adopt.
I want my children to be happy.

1. I was married to a Spanish man for a few years. (divorced and he passed away about 3 years ago) and now I am married to a white man and this marriage has lasted 16years. He's my best friend and I love him dearly.
2. Well my 20yr old and 18yr old are from my first husband. And my 15yr old is my current husbands so I don't think I could handle any other kids unless it was a tragedy or something.
3. Believe me it's their life. Color or race has never been an issue with me. It's how they treat my kids that matters to me.
4. If that organ is going to save someones life and not harm them get that thing and say THANK YOU!!0 -
1) Date/Marry someone of a different colour?
My husband's skin colour isn't exactly the same as mine. He tans and is a kind of medium beige colour. I'm also beige but I have freckles (light brown ones) and don't tan easily at all. And his hair is darker than mine. Does that count? And he's more hairy than me.
Also, my great x2000(ish) grandmother was a cro-magnon (Homo sapiens) and my great x2000(ish) grandfather was a neanderthal (Homo neanderthalensis) (among many other similar relationships). They were not even the same species, and mixed species relationships beat mixed race relationships by a lot.*
*this applies to approximately six sevenths of the world's population, and for quite a few also includes interbreeding with the Denisovan hominid, and if I was a betting person I'd bet that they'll find Homo erectus genes in modern humans as well sooner or later. And discover some other species of human and find out that their genes are also found in some modern humans. The fact that we're not even a pure species makes the whole idea of racial purity beyond ridiculous. (aside from the fact that even if we were a pure species, there'd still be nothing wrong with mixed race relationships...)2) Adopt a child of a different colour?
I gave birth to a child who's a different colour to me. She's ginger, I have brown hair. I have very pale skin, she has even paler skin than me. In fact although she was born without hair, I knew she'd be ginger by the extreme paleness of her skin. There was just something about her skin which said "ginger".... I my ginger baby :flowerforyou: and my other baby who actually is pretty much the same colour as me :flowerforyou:
If I was going to adopt a baby, then I wouldn't really care what colour the baby was3) Allow your child to date/marry someone of a different colour?
I think it would be unfair to restrict her to marrying only ginger, extremely mega pale skinned people. She doesn't have freckles either, so that would make her colouration rather different to other gingers, so I think it would be extremely difficult for her to find anyone to marry at all if she was limited to only those the same colour as her.4) Accept a vital organ transplant/allow a family member to do so if that organ belonged to someone of a different colour?
In that situation the last thing on my mind would be the ethnic origin of the person donating it. So long as the tissue type is a reasonable match and the organ is safe and suitable, I couldn't care less.I ask these questions, because they came up in a conversation with my (now-ex) BF, and I was completely SHOCKED at his answers.

I like your attitude and I'm glad your ex BF became your ex BF. Good move :drinker: And if he's stupid enough to turn down an organ transplant that could save his life because of the "colour" of the donor then frankly all I can say is "natural selection".0 -
Dear Posters,
A brief explanation as to why we have locked this thread:
15. Divisive Topics Are Better Suited For Groups, Not the Main Forums
Divisive topics, particularly those that seek input from or are relevant only to a select group of users, are better placed within an appropriate Group rather than the Main Forums. For example, topics relevant to only one religion should not be placed on the main forums but rather within a group related to that religion.
