I also use protein powder, banana, peanut butter, unsweetened cocoa powder, and milk. I add almonds and broccoli to mine. I did use oats instead of the broccoli, but I've found the broccoli achieves the same purpose (thickens it up) and has less calories and carbs! I've tried a lot of different ones, but this one is my favorite.

I mix it with milk and then either some instant coffee for a protein latte and/ or sugar-free syrups - vanilla, chocolate, white-chocolate, caramel, or hazelnut. I like it smooth and thin in constistancy, I sip it and drink it slowly. I have my shake in the mornings before my breakfast so when I add coffee its like having a latte.

I don't like my shakes to be sweet.

I use the unflavored whey isolate with some unsweetened coconut milk, some O.J., unsweetened cranberry juice, and some tart cherry juice. The blend is nice and without that really sweet artificial taste of the flavored whey shakes.

It's great along with breakfast and also after a workout if you wan't something that isn't overly sweet and doesn't conflict too much with other foods you are also eating along with it.

I've never really branched out a lot, I guess. I've just been drinking it mixed with milk, and sometimes I'll blend it with a banana and some frozen berries, but that's about as adventurous as I've been! lol

2 cups almond milk 2 cups frozen wild blueberries and 1 tablespoon jello bannana cream instant pudding mix, the real sugar stuff, but just a tablespoon between the pudding mix and the frozen berries it is like a milkshake! YUMMMMMM

I just put mine in my coffee. I only use about .5-.75 scoop (depending on the size of my cup of coffee) and a flavored Mini I.D. creamer.
