During outdoor exercise, do you burn more calories if it's hot? Sure feels like it!

No. Like morticia said it's water weight. Although there's the theory that if you workout in a warmer environment, your muscles stretch more and prevent injury. Maybe this is true, but I didn't think it was worth the B.O. smell when I tried a hot yoga class!

I wondered the same thing because during hot yoga they say you burn more calories and I was walking in 102 degree heat last week and wondered if it was like doing hot yoga.

Attractive people help me burn more calories.

When your body heats up and sweats to cool off the very act itself does burn additional calories. The water you lose will be replenished but the biological mechanisms that make you sweat do so at a caloric cost and so you will burn more calories in the warm environment. As long as you stay hydrated and don't over do it a bit more sweat isn't necessarily a bad thing though you have to be in good health to endure it.

That's a loaded question...I imagine you'll burn more calories if the body is pushed harder outdoors than indoors. I imagine "hot" people have the opportunity to burn more calories.

I do not think so - in cold weather the body burns more calories trying to stay warm - but I do know that my appetite decreases a lot during hot weather

Poaching. Exercising in the heat, giving off water, you slowly poach yourself.
