Hey y'all,
So I'm kinda new to this fitness pal thing, i've been doing my new healthy eating and exercise for about a few or more weeks. So far i've lost 8lbs, from 155-147. However, the past week or so i've been stuck at 147...this is really frustrating me because i have been exercising so much and eating so healthy/fewer calories. Any suggestions/ideas?? I want to get down to about 130 lbs or 125 lbs as my final goal. I am 5'4, 5'5 on a good day

Weight loss is not linear. Some weeks you will not lose, or even gain. Other weeks you may drop a little extra. And experiencing plateaus is normal (one week is not a plateau, several weeks of no scale movement is.)
Keep doing what you are doing. If you have a number of weeks at the same, re-check your diet - are you measuring everything, logging everything, etc. Eta - review your diary as well. People often underestimate how often they go over calorie goals or how often they skip logging.
Also consider that once you have lost some weight, you need to recalculate your calorie goals (this would be a last step)0 -
Also, water retention can mask small losses which can account for staying the same a couple weeks. Any number of factors affect water retention - like salt and potassium intake, menstrual cycle (for women) etc.0

After I lost my first 10 lbs or so (and my weight goals and height are the same as yours) my body kinda came to a stand still. My buddy said it could be because of the same workout over and over. I noticed when I biked everyday after like 2 weeks I stopped feeling the burn even if I pushed myself. I would try alternating workouts (a different one every day or one for like 2 weeks straight, then switch).
Also he recommends eating more fruits and raw vegetables and only turkey or fish once a day if that (don't forget protein!) The body can break this down easier and it's better for you than eating breads and potatoes and pastas and meals. Also break up your meals into 6 small servings. Enough to get rid of the hunger pains but not too much to make you feel full. Those are just some tips I've heard through the grapevine from a friend who has awesome weight results.0 -
Likewise, water maintenance can veil minor misfortunes which can elucidate keeping with it a few weeks. Any number of components influence water maintenance -like salt and potassium consumption, menstrual cycle (for ladies) and so on. http://www.yogayug.com/rishikesh.html0
