I have the shake weight at home but I haven't used it very much but when I do use it , you can really tell it is working. Has anyone had results with the shake weight? I need some inspiration to make myself use it......

    What is it?
  • I've never tried it, but only because I heard bad reviews. The review was that it makes it feel like it's working when you do it- but that it doesn't have any lasting results that you would actually see. Know what I mean? I'd love to hear some stories of someone who actually has had results though!

These were the first two articles I found when I searched to see what it was. One says it doesn't work as well as it claims, the other says don't buy it.

I can't look at a shake weight without laughing. Did you see it on "Ellen" last year? Hilarious

You might not being using it correctly. Please send me a video of you using the shake weight, so I can let you know if you are doing it the right way.

    Thanks
  • I have read reviews that say the Ab Lounger is a gimmick too but it's working for me. When I first got it, I could only do 40 crunches. I would add to that each day and/or week and now I can do over 500. Actually, I don't know where my limit is... I've never taken the time to find out because I want to move on to the elliptical or TotalGym. Anyway, the AB Lounger works for me but it is only a part of my exercise routine.

The shake-weight is better than nothing. But now I want to go find that SNL sketch.....
  • creeeeeeeeepy..... lol 'Please send me a video of you using it"..????? Ummmm, NO! Don't do that Miss Danielle! lol I agree with the others, it doesn't seem to really do much. A friend of mine had it and I used it one time for about 15 minutes straight and I felt nothing except humiliated for even trying it! lol If you really wanna get rid of the "bat wings" try using free weights. Extend your arm with desired weight above head, and slowly flex it toward your lower back, then back up again. Repeat this until you 'feel the burn'...rest 30 seconds then try another set. It really helps!

Definetly no video being sent.......lol... :blushing: I am using it as my DVD instructs me too so I think I am using it correctly. I just need to make myself use it.......The main reason I don't use it , is it makes alot of noise so if anyone is sleeping, I don't want to wake them up. I will just have to use it of the evenings.

I did see a show on tv the other day where college football teams are using a mans version of the shake weight on the field for their workouts so that peeked my interests a little.....hmmmm...:indifferent:

The SNL skit is hilarious, when I saw it the first time I thought the shake weight was a fake.
  • Ok... I saw the SNL clip. I have tears in my eyes.... Thanks for the link ZebraHead. Other than that I think I'll refrain from saying anything other than is that guy somehow related to the Sham Wow guy?
