Anyone else still see themselves as the same size as before?

Okay I was sure where to post this but does anyone see themselves as the same size even once the scales are down. Other people have noticed and I still don't see it. I almost think my stomach and arms look worse. Like before my tummy had no roll at the bottom now it does. It is loose skin but still looks bad and makes me not want to go swimming and stuff I am scared to try on a suite.

As of today I have lost 36 pounds (current weight 248.6) I just don't "check-in" on here very often with my daily weight changes. But I was wondering if anyone else felt this and if you did in the past at what point did you see yourself as smaller. Also this skin problem did that fix itself, I am only 20 and hope I don't have to have surgery to get rid of it once I get to my goal weight. And I know I still have quite a bit of weight to lose but I just don't see much of a change.

I feel the same way. I'm not down as much weight as you are, just 23 pounds, but my mom and a few people swear I look thinner each time they see me. I've looked at my before pictures and current pictures and just don't really see much of a difference. I don't 'feel' any different, either. I KNOW I am, because my pants constantly fall off and shirts I wore three months ago are too big. I think a lot of it has to do with the mentality that I've tried weight loss before and always gained it back and this time I am actually keeping it off better. I've always been a 'bigger' person so don't know what it was like to be thinner before.

I'm experiencing something similar, I've lost 55lbs. to date (current weight 195.8) I still find myself wandering into the plus sized dept. even though I'm able to fit into junior clothing. I just gave away my FLUFFY GIRL wardrobe after 1 1/2yrs. because I was scared I wouldn't keep the weight off. But I'm WINNING!
I hate the excess skin on my arms and stomach SOO much, that I've begun to inquire about an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). My hope is to tone up through strength training but I'm not opposed to surgery. My goal for 2013 is to lose another 15-20lbs and to set a new goal in 2014 to lose another 20lbs. I guess it will take sometime for us to get acquainted with our new bodies...but I still enjoy the compliments and affirmations that I receive. It's MOTIVATION!
