You could do this instead of the mace.

I'm actually looking into getting a thigh holster. Then the would be criminals would see I'm carrying. Plus, I think it would be hot.

You could get implants and keep many, many things tucked in the cleave. Be sure to have an excellent sports bra.

The boyfriend bought a boat instead with his "toy" money. I told him if he ever sells the boat implants count as toys.

Someone suggested wearing a wrist band (like a tennis player) and wiping your brow with it. That seemed like a good idea.

I just hike up my tshirt when I get really sweaty.

I do use a SPIbelt to carry my iphone. You could also carry keys and pepper spray in it. It is basically a neoprene pouch that clips around your waist. I wear it under my shirt and you can't see it.

Let me tell you about the river of sweat that I live through. Did you know, this is why we have eyebrows. Just occasionally wipe the excess off your forehead and you'll be okay.
Also, does anyone use a fanny pack to carry their keys/phone, pepper spray, etc?

I wear a wrist sweatband. I may look like someone who thinks he's John McEnroe but at least I don't get sore eyes. :)

    Anyone for tennis?

I wipe my brow to prevent sweat running into my eyes. It's a novel idea ;)

Fanny pack is perfect if you are a retired old man. Especially if you're wearing jorts and a hawaiian t-shirt.

Thanks for the advice. Next time I shall simply wipe my brow with my also sweaty hands.

Oh, and I saw a guy wearing a Hawaiian shirt with ripped off sleeves the other day. Just thought I'd share a whole new level of dork.

First off, they are no fanny packs...they are called "Spy Belts". ;-) I avoid the sweat by wearing a running visor or hat. That has sweat wicking material and does the same thing as a headband, but looks a lot cooler. Instead of a fanny pack, Nathan hydration belts or backpacks are really awesome. I use the 4 bottle belt, which is perfect for my long distance running or running mid-distances in extreme heat and humidity. Plus, it has a pouch to keep tissues and energy food. Some belts have a little more space. If you need some serious space, get a backpack. It's not as bulky or uncomfortable as it looks.

As a Brit I just had to come here and laugh at the phrase 'fanny pack'.

    That is all.

Wait what's it mean...I'm assuming sodomy? Can I say sodomy on MFP without getting a strike? I'm asking for educational reasons.

What do they call fanny packs in the UK?

It means vagina, pus-sy, minge, tw@t...all the good stuff. :P lol

ETA: They're called hip packs. Some call them bum bags. ;)

That would be an interesting place to carry your belongings.

That's awesome, I need to try rocking that look. Maybe with some camouflage shorts and sandals with socks?

Oh, as for carrying stuff, I have one of these:

It expands to accommodate a fat, old smartphone so the modern Android and iPhones will fit no problems.

I wear a 'fanny pack' but it's small and honestly holds my pants up when I run so I love it!

    I always wear a headband. :)

Don't worry what others think, if it makes your run more enjoyable (like having a place to hold my keys, cell phone is more comfortable in my fanny pack than my hands) then go for it!

I'm a lifeguard so I'm required to wear a fannypack.. but I think that's a pretty good and hot excuse for wearing one! :P I could save your life with my fannypack!

A life saving fanny pack would be nice. I would assume it is waterproof fanny pack since you are a lifeguard.

When I walk or run I tend to sweat and sometimes the sweat drips into my eyes. This causes pain. I don't like pain. Would it look incredibly stupid to wear a head band? How do other people handle this problem. Also, does anyone use a fanny pack to carry their keys/phone, pepper spray, etc? Would you make fun of someone wearing a fanny pack? My friends said they would point and laugh.

I wipe my forehead with my hand ... or my shirt. And I carry my car key in my shorts pocket but I don't like to carry anything else with me.

If I saw your fanny pack, I wouldn't point and laugh. I'd probably make a funny comment to my running partner and she'd laugh, but neither of us would make eye contact with you so you wouldn't ever know .....

Seriously - just wear whatever makes you the most comfortable.

sure sure... I can imagine the "they were laughing at my fanny pack" thread now...

I tried a fanny pack... could not stand it bouncing up and down, and didn't want to cinch that *kitten* any tighter than it was.
I'll stick to as little as possible. :-P

I saw a fella riding his bicycle the other day on the trail. No big deal until you noticed he had his bike lock sticking out of his butt crack just like that. I didn't even have the energy to laugh. I was merely horrified.
