Share your July 4th menus!

It seems like just one day, might as well indulge. But we went ahead and created a clean eating BBQ menu. It seems, I am still able to have fun and maintain the pace.

Pre-workout - Juice Plus Vanilla Shake

Breakfast - Oats with almonds, wild blueberries and flax seeds. Side of Plain FF Greek yogurt

Lunch - Sausage and beef burger with caramelized onions on rye toast (from Clean Eating magazine)
Roasted corn and black bean salad

Dinner - summer shrimp kebabs, Lemon coconut mouse (Clean eating magazine)

I left out snacks since I know there will be some beer...Cheers and Happy 4th!

You have a lot of self control to eat like this on the biggest BBQ day of the year! Envy you.

I'm having a cookout at a friend's house and will most likely have cheeseburgers, hotdogs, and BBQ sandwiches. I am not worried about logging or counting calories today.

We had our family BBQ meal on Monday because that was the day my son was off work. We had BBQ, baked beans, potato chips, homemade ice cream, and few beers later.

Breakfast- egg, blueberry pancakes, strawberries, maybe some bacon?

Lunch- bbq ribs, fruit salad, baked beans, maybe some mac & cheese, corn on the cob

Dinner- ??? Not sure if I'll be home, still at the cookout, or out with a friend.

    Treats: jell-o cake

Keeping the rest of the day "normal" -- egg white omelet, whole wheat toast for breakfast, chinese dumplings and steamed broccoli for lunch, then planned ahead and bought TURKEY brats for dinner 100 cal each instead of 200+

Plus, I'm reserving a few calories for a Bud Select :)

Trying to decide if I'll even offer dessert. No family gathering, just me an the kids...they likely won't notice if we don't have it. I might buy individually portioned something at the store so there will be no leftovers waiting to be eaten.
