What are the amount of calories a person with 58kgs should consume? My goal is to reach 50-53kgs on or before 13th august. My height is 5"2. I workout also and do dieting. But the amount of food that i am taking in a day seems to be unhealthy and temporary loss of weight only. I wake up at around lunch time, and have my sandwich (whole wheat bread + cucumber) .. And in between, one banana, and at 5pm, i play badminton for 30mins, do bicycle rides, and do my 2hrs workout (dancing, treadmill, kickboxing, abs exercises) , then at dinner sometimes i have the same type of sandwich, (wheat breAd and cucumber) but sometimes i eat fried veggie meat (made of soy, and fried with one tblsp of olive oil)..am i doing wrong???? Please guide me....

So in a day you eat two whole wheat and cucumber sandwiches and banana? If that's the case you need to be eating more... a lot more than that. Eating two sandwiches and a banana is not healthy at all and will lead to injury, poor nutrition and an increase of muscle loss.

If you workout that much you need to be eating probably close to 2000 calories. Put your information into MFP goal section... select 0.5lb per week and eat those calories plus your exercise calories.

Unfortunately with only about 16lbs to lose one month is not enough time to do it safely.

it sounds weird but you need to eat more to lose weight. I eat about 1700 calories today and thats my TDEE (including my activity level in the calculations) MINUS 25%!

I would recommend calculating your body fat percentage here: http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/mbf/
    record this number.

Then, use the TDEE calculator found here: http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/
select the Katch-McCardle (most accurate) method and enter your body fat percentage.
Calculate your BMR and your TDEE for your activity level.

This way you know the absolute minimum your body needs to function on a daily basis AND the amount of calories you should be aiming for each day when you are active. Compare the numbers you get to what you've been doing now! :)

Ohhh, i am a fool enough to thnk that eating 500 calories in a day, and working out so much would help me lose my weight. So, the main key is to eat upto 1500 calories, atleast? To attain my goal?
