How to lose weight with limited exercise?

I just left the doctors with a broken toe and they advised me not to exercise. I'm used to running or biking or something an hour 4-5 days a week. I'm going to be out for 4-6 weeks. How can I lose weight w/oexercise? Is now a good time to start a fast? I won't need the energy. I can prob continue my ab workout and to Pilates floor work. Any advice is appreciated!! The last time I broke a bone I gained a lot of weight. That bone happened to be my femur so this time it isn't as bad, but still.

Just don't eat your exercise calories back as you won't have any. No need to do silly fasts or anything0

The calorie goal given to you already has your deficit for weight loss. You won't need exercise to keep losing. Don't stress
