My name is Tina. I am 32 years old and due to injury gained a lot of weight this last year. Now since I am better I am taking one day at a time to diet and exercise to get this weight off! MFP helps so far tracking everything!

Welcome!

Feel free to add me as well. Also, try to modify your workouts. Even modifying a workout is great for your body.

I completely agree that you have to just take it day by day. More-so, you have to take it meal by meal. :)

Tina...I have tried MFP a couple of times over the past year and failed each time. This time, I am keeping a diary so after each day, I print my page and put it into my diary. I am also writing inspiring headings to each page. This time I have lost 14 pounds so far. I think the diary helps. ANYWAY, let me know how this works for you.

There's a lot of support at MFP. There's also some crazy folks, but you'll figure that out soon enough. I got to goal weight through Weight Watchers eight years ago, maintained for about a year (but struggled), then sustained an injury that became Achilles tendonitis, which stopped my active walking exercise program. This lingered for two years! You can imagine the results. A year and a half ago, I got motivated again but made some changes that have really helped. Among these are MFP and Fitbit, both of which I got into in November '12. Super motivating. Good luck. Friend me if you want. I keep an open diary and log in every day.
