That does seem like a lot and counter productive ..I'm usually 45 mins to an hour especially if your not wasting too much time in betweent sets

Yeah, your workouts should be quick, efficient, and effective. Can you maintain two hours a day, four days a week in the long run? I try to keep mine between 30 minutes and an hour.

weight training I'm done in about 45 minutes...60 if I have to wait for equipment. Currently I'm training for a 10K so I run on non-lifting days...usually 30-45 minutes depending on the objective that day. 2 hours in the weight room is probably over kill and counterproductive.

30 min. M-W-F. Time isn't important to me; my trainer can make me feel like puking in 30 min with weight training. That's enough for me. I'll throw in some spin classes for 45 min or an Insanity DVD, but that's all the cardio I need.

This. Mine are also usually 30-60 mins, 5-6 days a week.

I guess it would depend on if your body can take it... I'm doing (2) hours a day, 7 days a week myself, trying to get down to 160 lbs.. I'm switching up walking, dancing...

Mine are generally 10 minutes warm-up cardio, 30 minutes weights and 5-10 cool down.

Most of the time I go to the gym on my lunch break so I can be with my family in the evening. I have a one hour lunch so I work out for 30 minutes.

When I got on the weekends, I will be there 45-90 minutes. About 10 minutes cardio warm up, lifting then 10 minutes of tanning.

I lift weights 5-6 days a week alternating body regions.. I do one set of abs on lift days, just vary the routine. - Weights take me about 40 minutes... Then I do cardio for about 45 minutes.

I workout at home but it's typically between 20 - 60 minutes -- more if I add in yoga, but I don't do that to burn calories anyways (the extra burn is nice but not what I'm going for).

I skate (roller derby) 3x a week for 2 hours each time so my workouts are usually only 30 minute strength sessions :P

45 minutes to an hour. I was told by a trainer not to work out more than 45 min, 60 min max. Go short and go hard. When you workout more than 1 hour your body releases the stress hormone called Cortisol, which eats your muscle. More does not always mean better. You should change it up and see if you see better results. 45 minutes, intense!

I generally do dumbells, pushups, situps, crunches, weight machines etc for about 30 mins.
I then get on the elliptical and go for 40 mins & finish up with about a 15 -20 minute swimming session. I hit the sauna for about 10 minutes after. I do this 5-6X a week. You would think I would've lost more than 11lbs doing this but nope.
