10 lb Kettlebell

I was shopping today and came across a 10 lb kettlebell at a good price. So I bought it. I was thinking to do it more for one armed exercises. I generally DL about 60 lbs+ so I'm not looking to DL with it.
That being said, I kind of feel like it might be a worthless amount for me. Should I return it?
Thoughts?

Personal opinion, not professional by any means. If you are DL 60lb, the 10 lb might not even give you a challenge. I typically use a 50lb bell for lower body work and 25-35 for upper body, depending. You could start with it for Turkish Get ups or half get ups perhaps, if you haven't done those before...but unless it was super cheap, I wouldnt think you would get the benefits from it you are looking for.
Once again, personal opinion only0 -
I'm not a KB expert but I do own a 25 lb one and use a variety of them at the gym. I agree with the previous poster -- Turkish getups are just about all I can think of that you could do with a bell that light (I started with a 4kg KB while I learned the get up movements and mastered the single legged bridge). Maybe snatches? Depending on your upper body strength you might be able to use it for some upper body exercises (I did sots presses last week with 10 lbs in each hand). But it will definitely be too light to swing, goblet squat, etc.
If I were you I would return it and save that money to use on a heavier bell that could be more versatile. (Eg I started out swinging my 25lb bell when I first got it, and now I use it for one armed swings, cleans, and presses.)0 -
Thank you both so much for your opinions and input.
I think I will return it, as well. :happy:0 -
I started with 4 kg kettlebells, but progressed to 8 and 12 kg pretty quickly. And I'm definitely below-average strength myself. I think women usually start with 12 kg. (4 kg = 8.8 lbs., 8 kg = 17.6 lbs., 12 kg = 26.4 lbs.)0

Women are recommended to start out with 8KG- 12KG bells. Those bells are quite a bit heavier than your 10 pounder--I'd either trade it for a heavier bell or just return it.0
