Working out on vacation

Hey all
No access to my normal stationary bike and elliptical for my off-days from running while on vacation. Anyone have suggestions for burning calories on my off days from running without needing the extra equipment that can replace bike/elliptical?

Youtube have lots of free exercises. Just choose what you want to do. Leslie Sansone 5 mile walk, 30 Day Shred, zumba, it is all there and free

If you have access to some internet look up workouts on youtube. There are a ton of workouts on there.
This might be a girly workout but Tiffany rothe on youtube makes videos that are 10 min. long and you can do about 3-4 of them and have your workout done for the day.
You usually only need a few weights (or you can use soda cans) or maybe a chair! Good luck!

Depending on how far you are from a town, a lot of gyms offer pro-rated weekly member ships or even pay by day. I usually try to stay somewhere that has a gym onsite as well or at least a pool. Any chance there is a pool at least?

Try body-weight exercises. No equipment needed and you can even do it in your hotel room. They seriously get your heart rate up. There are lots of programs out there on the net.....or you can do the stuff we did in school (way back when for me :-) ) like pushups, high-knee jogging in place, burpees, squats, step-ups, lunges, etc.

One thing that I do is research if there is a tennis center nearby and book myself into some of their drill classes, or even a lesson with the pro.

Hope you have a great trip and keep up the good work!

Jump rope and do some exercise with a resistance band. That's something easy to pack and not too heavy in your luggage.
Some hotels have gyms where you can exercise.
