Breaking out?

Ever since I started this working out and eating less/better lifestyle a couple weeks ago.. my skin has been completely broken out. It's horrible.
Has this happened to anyone else? What did you do?

Have you tried making sure you're keeping your skin clean after you work out, and not wearing makeup while working out? Sometimes people have issues with hormone changes with weight loss too, which might just mean waiting it out.

I broke out a bit more in the beginning and believe it was due to not showering immediately after working out (I'd workout at the gym in my office and then drive the 45 minutes home then shower) and possibly also the hormone changes that come with weight loss. I also had some issues with BO for a while too - had to find the right deoderant to take care of the problem. It's amazing the changes our bodies go through!

It's either the sweat from working out clogging your pores, or your hormones normalizing. If you wear makeup while exercising, try not wearing it for awhile and make sure you wash your face as soon as you finish. If that doesn't improve things, then I'd assume its hormones.

I had breakouts because of losing weight. Get some Clean and Clean persa gel 10 to put on right after you take a shower. Keeps your skin looking good. I think it costs under $20 and lasts long.

What are you eating? What you eat can have a major effect on things like acne.

I recommend checking out http://www.scribd.com/doc/55357860/The-Dietary-Cure-for-Acne-Loren-Cordain and trying his suggestions for a month and see if it makes a difference.
  • Thanks guys- I don't wear makeup when I work out but I also don't shower right away after so I'll try that, or at the very least washing my face if I don't have time
