  • I'm 5'6, so I'd draw the line at 5'8 for someone special, but really I prefer 6'0 or taller.

5'6" probably. I only say that cause I'm 5'6". I would definitely date someone shorter than that if I really liked them though.

I'm 5'8" (174 cm), and the shortest I have dated was 5'7". I actually prefer to date guys around my height or just a bit taller (5'9"-5'10") than super tall guys, but of course I would make an exception in either direction (tall or short) if I really liked the guy. Being quite tall myself, I don't know if I'd be interested in much shorter than 5'5" or so, though.

I have rarely been much taller than my girlfriends in the past, and often considerably shorter (I'm only 5'9) Being heavy into the theatre, a lot of my girlfriends have come from there and some of the dancers are 5'11 to 6'0...I have no problem with it at all, and neither have they!

If I were to date a woman, height would irrelevant, but if I were to date a man, he would probably be closer to 6ft. Just personal preference. I love Matt Damon and he's 5'10, so really it would just depend on the guy. Overall, height is not particularly important and I would never let it put me off dating someone I really liked.

Men, 5'6" (my height). Women, doesn't matter. It's a stupid double standard, but men who are shorter than me just don't do it for me.
  • I'm 6'1" and fought a man who was 3 feet taller than me.

I love to wear 4 or 5 inch heels as often as possible (i'm 5'5) My husband is 6'2. I would date shorter as long as we were both comfortable with me in the heels ( husband might not like me dating, but he'll get over it  )

Wow, very high (literally) standards there! At my puny 5'7 I obviously don't have a chance there, lol!!

I wear 4" heels daily, and I'm 5'9. so, yeah. 6' or better, please. My ex's have all been shorter than me, and it's my issue, not theirs.

Wouldn't matter too much if I really liked them. I'd prefer them to be taller than me though if I'm honest... and in an ideal world more than 6 ft but I'm not that fussy.

Now I realize why I could never get a date.

    I'm 5' 8.5"

(not gonna let that half inch slide, seeing as how important height seems to be)

When I was young and dating, I wanting my guy to be 4 inches taker than me. I am 5'6.5". My husband was 5'9.75" when we got married. I never asked him tall he was, just was tall enough when we were dating. i never thought 'hmm, he's a bit too short.." Good thing I didn't,t ask, I may have had to really debate that second date, LOL. I was overly legalistic sometimes.
And now that he is 49, he is about 5'7" or 5'7.5"

    (I am still 5'6.5", btw)

I probably wouldn't go shorter than 3' tall, but it depends on the personality of the little person (midget or dwarf).
