Just need some advice..

Hi everyone,

I have a little problem I sort of need advice about, not sure whether this is the right forum or not but it seemed like the best one to put it in.

I'm really struggling with my mind recently, and it's getting to the point where I feel bad for eating a 3 calorie pot of jelly, seriously. But today I've just completely binged, and guilty isn't even the word for my feelings right now! So I have 2 questions...

How to eat 3 proper meals a day without feeling guilty / how to not feel guilty when eating?
How to avoid binging?

Thank you :flowerforyou:

Guilt is for matters of morality, issues of right and wrong and have no place in nutritional decisions. If you feel you could be doing something better, improve on it and don't let negative feelings weigh you down. Strive for improvement.

As far as binges go, two things help me. First, factor treats into your meal plans. No reason to not have ice cream every few weeks, or fries or whatever floats your boat.

Second, LOG BEFORE YOU EAT. If you're going to house down a large pizza by yourself, fine. Log it first and own the results.

^^^^yessss, pre-plan. But dont be too hard on yourself....the slow journey tends to be more permanent than the ones who mentally hurt themselves

There are no good foods or bad foods. Eating is about fuel, food = fuel. To lose weight, you need to eat a bit less than "maintenance calories". Maintenance calories is the amount where you would not gain or lose.

Once you understand the above and don't think of this as a diet, then there isn't anything to feel guilty about.

I found listening to the audio book "Intuitive Eating" was really good for me. http://www.intuitiveeating.org/

You may enjoy reading a thread I posted the other day that was kinda about this:

    Best to you!

don't stress about each day ... think about your overall food in a week's time. "Bad" days can be balanced out by better days.

Wow! I use to binged a lot what stop me I had to renewal my mind think positive than negative and pray asking God to give me strength. I would eat so much that I was making myself sick and feeling stressed because I ate that amount of food and the food that I would eat was junk food. It was soooo bad that I do not want to think about it. Just think positive and ask yourself do you reallywant to gain weight keep a journal. Now, I do not eat that way no way....I hated that binged....Good Luck
