I've been seeing a lot of these "1,000 calorie workout" and "100 calorie workout" things go around Tumblr, I know that none of them actually burn that amount, but can someone give me an approximate on how much these burn? I don't have enough money for a gym membership + my treadmill died a few weeks ago.
Here's the exercises
"Drop 10 Workout"
-100 crunches
-90 jumping jacks
-80 lunges
-70 squats
-60 second jog in place
-50 second plank
-40 jumping jacks
-30 squats
-20 high-knees
-10 push-ups
"Burn 100"
-40 jumping jacks
-30 crunches
-20 squats
-10 push ups
"Burn 1,000"
-100 crunches
-100 jumping jacks
-100 squats
-25 push ups
-100 jumping jacks
-100 crunches
-100 squats
-25 push ups
-100 jumping jacks
-100 crunches
-100 squats
-25 push ups

If you're using the MFP profile-builder and are updating your weight, then I would log your exercises as "Calisthenics - vigorous effort" and the time you did them (not including warm-up or cool-downs). You're probably getting a nice burn though. And that's a real good start to a fitness program.0

Personally I think it varies on your height/weight and effort put in...
I can only go by my own experience but 'burn 100' would take me well under 5mins and I'd prob burn say barely 30 calories.
However I am all about encouragment& a fan of at home work outs...I would try the 1, 000 and log your times and estimate your burn via mfp.
Plus try YouTubing 30 Day Shred vids & for a intense burn go out for a run/jog/power walk before or after and you can work out the burn/distance etc via a phone app.0 -
I tend to log those as circuit training because I will do a few minutes of cardio in between exercises and log the amount of time it took me to complete them. I am super short so even though the workout claims to burn 1,000 calories it may only end up being 400 or 500 for me.0

Oh wow, I thought no one would reply to this.
For the 30 day shred youtubing, I don't have a good enough internet connection to even load a youtube video - I don't even have my own internet, my neighbor lets me use his (haha!)
But thanks everyone!0
