what am I doing wrong?

I'm an 18 year old girl, joined mfp 2 months ago. My starting weight was 143, current is 136 and goal is 118.
I run on the treadmill 5 days a week, losing 250 calories a session. shouldn't I be losing quickly? seeing such low numbers on the scale really holds me back. Oh, and I eat 1200 calories a day. Can anyone please help?

How tall are you? 118 is a very low goal weight unless you're very short. Also it's more about what you eat then how long you run on the treadmill for weight loss - maybe you should open your diary if you want advice. Finally at your weight, no you should be losing quickly. You have very little if any to lose therefore it will be harder to lose more than half a pound a week or so.

In 8 weeks you've lost 7 lbs? sounds good and healthy to me! It's much harder for people so close to a normal weight to lose as fast as someone who has, say 50 lbs or more to lose. I'd say your goal really should be .5-.75 lbs per week. And be thankful if it gets that high on average! Just my opinion.

Shouldn't you be losing faster? Nope! With less than 20 pounds to lose, a good healthy rate of weight loss is 1/2 a pound per week and this is what you should have your goal set at. You really need to think about this whole thing in a much more positive way. You have lost 7 pounds in 2 months which is amazing!! Congratulations!!

No one really ever mentions it (you sure as hell never hear it in weight loss/fitness ads) but this process really takes a lot of patience. Just keep working at it and you will get to your goal in time. Be healthy!

What are you doing wrong? Drastically undereating, randomly tracking intake, eating a lot of garbage calories, probably taking calorie burn off a machine and expecting a miracle.

Slow down, eat properly exercise and be healthy.
