Workouts to get rid of a lot of belly fat

I gained thirty pounds since December, mostly from bad eating habits and drinking my calories. Most of the weight is concentrated in my stomach and thigh area.
I've been tweaking my diet and now am limiting myself to 1500 calories a day. I'm also doing 45 minutes of cardio three times a week to start, taking hydroxycut, drinking 64oz of water a day, doing 100 crunches a day and doing the 30 day squat challenge (day 8).
Is there anything else i can do to help the progress along? I've had two kids and have stretched out ab muscles. My youngest is two.

I would stop taking the hydrocut. Just exercise and stay within your calories. Hydrocut might work for some, but I'd bet that the majority have gained the weight back once they stopped using it.0

There is no such thing as exercise that can burn fat..
Also, hydroxycut is plecebo0 -
No to the Hydroxycut.
You've recognized the cause of the weight gain and have a plan to reverse course. You are already on the right track.
Using a slight calorie deficit will help shed the fat. The crunches can help tone the muscle around the waist, which will result in a better looking belly area when the fat recedes.0 -

You can't spot reduce. 100 crunches a day is just silly. It won't do anything to remove fat from your belly and will just make your stomach muscles better at doing crunches which isn't very useful.
I tried Hydroxycut once when I was young. Made me feel like crap.
Eat at a deficit. You will lose weight. Be patient.0 -
Can't spot reduce fat and the stomach is the primary fat stores. Just time and patience...eat at a slight caloric deficit and get your fitness on.0

Hydroxycut is garbage, exercising is only going to show once the fat is lost. True that muscle training does burn fat and keep in mind when you are looking at the scales. Muscle weighs more then fat. What we call good weight so if you do weight train the BMI index is not going to give you accurate results. Food is really the key to losing weight by speeding up your metabolism. Yes there is food that does better then any diet pill or fad can do and you won't have to stop taking it.

A big NO to doing crunches everyday. Instead aim for max 3 times a week abs training. Do compound movements like squats, dead lifts, lunges, bench press etc; Start incorporating HIIT training twice a week. Maintain clean diet. You will start seeing results in no time. Best of luck. Never give up.0

Thanks for the replies! I'll going to increase the cardio and reduce calories and see how that goes. Slow and steady, right?0

Yes, Just Slow and Easy.
I cut my calories to 50 below each day.
As I cannot do a lot of cardio exercises and Crunches are a no no per my Doctor.
As I have a bad back and bad knees and HIps.
I have lost 17 pounds in 2 months and I just watch my calories and drink lots and lots of water.0 -
I see the biggest changes in my belly when I lift weights and do workouts like 30 Day Shred.0
