Looking for some advice. I'm considering adding a pre-lunch and post-lunch snack to help with boosting metabolism and weight loss goals. I'm looking for some snack suggestions to incorporate that will help boost metabolism. I really enjoy nuts (I have a few of the Planters NUT-rition options) and really like carrots and red peppers. I also don't crave sweets or savory items so I'm open to both.

I've also noticed I'm often low in my fiber suggested consumption in MFP so I wouldn't be opposed to adding some fiber as well but don't want to take in extra unnecessary carbs.

Snacks won't boost your metabolism, neither will eating at certain times.

Eat when you are hungry. If you are hungry and need the extra fibre in a day have some carrot sticks, pepper slices, apple slices, etc. Or have some yogurt with granola.. or crackers with a lighter cheese or hummus.

Whether you eat once a day or 8 times a day will not make a difference to your metabolism.

If you want to boost your metabolism you need to gain weight or build muscle, both of which require eating a surplus.

The timing and frequency of meals does not matter, and eating more frequently will not boost your metabolism.
