Hi All! Hoped some of you with some calorie counting experience might have some insight.Ive been using MFP for a week now and after eating I feel pretty satisfied, pretty shortly after though I am hungry again. I was wondering if it might be what I am eating or if my body is just adjusting from the decades of eating whatever I wanted! For breakfast for instance I ate 3 eggwhite omlet with a slice of ham, and aa banana. Mid morning I might eat a cheese stick or a tangerine etc. Perviously I would eat like 4 poptarts lol, have popcorn from the pocorn machine at work etc. So I am eating less and a lot less junk/sugar (processed at least). I have been meeting my calorie goals. So is this something that will pass while I retrain my body? Or do I need to look at what I might be eating? thanks for any help.

I find that actually I'm normally just thirsty. Get one of those 1 litre water bottles and cart it round with you. When you feel peckish but have eaten recently, drink some water.0

There are a ton of variables that can play into it. Do you any exercise and do you eat those calories back? I have found that choosing the 1 pound per week to lose option in MFP works best for me and than eat 25-75% of my exercise calories back. I eat anywhere from 1600-2600 cals per day depending on how much exercise I do and usually have no hunger issues. Are you drinking your 8 cups of water? Sometimes people mistake thirst for hunger.
A week is a short time to figure everything out, stick with it and try find out what works for you and good luck!!0 -

So much positivity from jake (sarcasm)
I will say tht I experienced the same thing, I was used to eating huge portions and so often that when I started eating in moderation my body was like WTF?? How I delt with it was water, I drank alot of water and increased my fiber. When I was hungry and I needed something I would have half of a fiber one bar and a glass of water. I would eat 1 bar a day and it helped me get through the first couple weeks til I didn't even need that anymore. Good luck man0 -
We can give you more detailed and relevant advice if you open your diary. If I had to guess, you're either:
1. Not eating enough calories
2. Not eating enough protein
3. Not eating enough fat, or
4. Your body is still adjusting to your new diet
But again, if you open your diary we can be more useful to you.0
