How much do I burn?

I work in a very Hot Kitchen, averages around 50 degrees in there. I am on my feet consistently for about 7-13 hours straight, and I am constantly moving about, preparing food, carrying things up stairs and cleaning.
I was curious into how many calories do I burn doing this.

    50 Deg is hot?
Anyway, I'd guess you'd be burning quite a bit being on your feet all day moving and preparing food. I hope someone can help you out with this question!

Was this your job while gaining the weight you are trying to lose? If so then I think it is best not to try to count it. I am a nurse and work 12 hour shifts. Sometimes on my feet and running around a lot of it. But I have done this for many years and still managed to gain all the weight I am currently working to lose.
I only count exercise that is above and beyond my daily routine. JMHO
  • This has only been my job for approx. 3 weeks now. I didn't have this job whilst gaining the weight.
I have lost approx. 8lbs in 7 days, but this is also due to me being ill so I have hardly eaten at all. I only want to lose about 7lbs more, but I need to know how much approx.. that I am losing to control my weight now.

Put yourself as Active on your MFP settings (they give some descriptions of the jobs that would cover)

OR if you really want accuracy then I thoroughly recommend getting a Fitbit. Great motivator too.
