Need help finding workout clothes for my wife

My wife was finally able to see some results this summer with her program and I want to get her a reward. Last summer she tried to follow me on my program, but became really discouraged when she did not see results. This summer (she teaches school, so summer is the only realistic time to start a program) she sucked it up and tried again. It was not easy, because the results don't come quickly for her, but she hung in there and finally broke through some barriers last month. It was enough to motivate her to (so far) continue her workout program as the school year started. Right now, she is hanging tough (example: last night she came home at 6 pm and went to lift weights, this morning, up at 4:30 am to do cardio). She has lost maybe 6-8 lbs so far, which is a HUGE accomplishment for her.
Here is what I need: when she lifts weights, she wears a big t-shirt (one of mine) over her workout top. She cut the sleeves off the t-shirt because she "hates the feel of having sleeves while lifting weights". But she doesn't feel comfortable yet in a regular tank top.
So, basically, what I am looking for is a nice, tech fabric version of a "muscle" Tshirt, that would be tailored for a female. I looked at Title Nine, Under Armour, Patagonia and Champion and haven't seen what I am looking for.
Any other ideas?

I don't spend a lot of money on clothes so I will tell you that I buy most of my workout duds at Target.
You might want to try Walmart, online? They have a pretty good selection of plus size active wear and its not completely ugly.
I almost feel guilty sending you the Big Box store solution. Forgive me.0 -
Running Room is great (I buy a lot of stuff there), but you can equally get great clothes at Walmart with technical materials for way cheaper and it looks great.0

Lululemon has wonderful items for working out. I love that they are designed to flare out and aren't so fitted around the middle like all the other workout wear pieces. Good luck!0

My wife dresses quite modestly and she has found at lot of stuff at Academy that she likes for working out. Might be worth a trip if you have one near you.0

I was going to suggest either the Champion line from Target or the Danskin line from Walmart. I actually have a couple of the Danskin tank tops for running and I love them and the shorts are SO soft!!0 -

Looks like we are getting an Academy here. What are they like?0 -
Running etc., ****s sporting goods and Sports Authority have great choices. I like sports authority best because they have a vast session for all levels of athlethes.0

JCPenney (St.Johns Bay Brand) and Sears (Nor**** Track Brand) also have some great options... Not too expensive either. They both carry the more commonly known brands as well (Addidas, Nike...)0

I also like the Champion line from Target. They have a muscle tank that provides good coverage but room to move!
(Hopefully that product line is available elsewhere as Target is being boycotted for supporting an anti-gay politician.)
Good luck! Nice of you to support her efforts! :drinker:0 -
Another vote for Champion at Target most of my workout clothes have come from there.0

Nike has lots of options and may have something she would like.^^0 -
I'm surprised so many of you like Champion at Target? Their clothing is really not made for anything more than a light walk (in my experience). I've tried it all - maybe I'm just a heavy sweater. But even for my dance classes, their sports bras, shirts and skorts get so heavy from sweat and don't breathe well at all.0

bump, interesting! How did I ever miss this0

Lululemon, would be good to look into0

Danskin, which I have found at Wal-mart, does have some nice sleeveless, looser fitting v-neck workout shirts in a tech type fabric similar to these:

Best of luck to your wife. I'm a teacher, too, and always struggle at the beginning of the year to rebalance my school life, grading, home and fitness.0 -

That came really close to what I was looking for; unfortunately color choice seemed really limited.
The best match so far is the Under Armour Tornado 3 sleeveless. I found it at several places:
http://www.footlocker.com/catalog/productdetail/model_nbr--86897/sku--1211-1&SID=8732&inceptor=1&cm_mmc=SEO-_-Feeds-_-Froogle-_-null
And it's on sale! Unfortunately, the one I really want (black) is out of stock in the M or L sizes. Interestingly, I found at least 6 different vendors that sold the product, however all used the same photo/description graphic setup and all had the exact same size selection. Makes me wonder if UA is doing the all warehousing and shipping and the other vendors (Foot Locker, Zappos, etc) are just acting as "portals".
Anyhow, thanks for all the suggestions.0 -
