New here and nervous

I am new to MFP and nervous about putting myself out there for strangers. But a change is needed. :) My support network of friends and family is really great, but it is hard to talk to someone about weight loss when they don't have the same troubles as you. I have lost about 45-50 pounds in the last year. I started my journey with the help of a doctor monitored diet program for a few months and then moved on to just watching what I eat and exercise while training for the SA and Dallas half marathons.

I am currently at a stand still. I have been up and down the same five pounds since March and need to get at least 40 more pounds off. I have been able to maintain my diet, although not as good as when doctor monitored, I still manage. I would like some help with new exercises to help get me over the plateau. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome:) My experience is people here are helpful and supportive. We are all here to make some kind of change in our lives so don't feel nervous!! MFP is a great push in the right direction when you are at a stand still. Log everything you eat (even if you don't like what you decided to eat) and you will see where changes need to be made. Keeps you completely accountable. Good luck and the message boards are a great resource for any question you have!

No need to be nervous, we're just a bunch of strangers trying to lose weight. Congrats on your loss so far, and good luck! If you need some support, and the odd smart *kitten* comment, feel free to friend me
