shoes off or on in the house?
As an American when i was growing up it was normal to wear shoes in the house. in my 20's i had a roommate from Asia who asked if we could take our shoes off in the apartment. it didnt take long to see the benefits.
so all you dirty Americans who are still tracking dirt around your house. stop it!
and dont give me the "i wipe them on a mat" or something similar. that only takes care of so much.
so where do you live and what do you do with your shoes?
USA/off

I grew up in Hawaii, footwear, unless strictly house slippers, weren't allowed on in the house. Always wondered why they'd keep them on in TV shows & movies. heh Different strokes for different folks, I guess.0

Definitely off, how else could you slide around house with vinyl floors0

USA - off! I only wear shoes when I have to.0

ETA: Why would I want to walk on the floors in my house with spit, dog and people urine, sewage and anything else that get deposited on the dirty, dirty ground.0 -
Off- American born and bred.
I prefer to be barefoot generally and only wear shoes because society says I have to....and they are super fun to buy.0 -

Off when I remember... I often have to use the restroom badly from massive water drinking and usually just run in the house and forget lol0

Off...but that's more by choice than demand. We have our own house but it's more comfortable to have my shoes off...cuddle up on the couch...shoes really aren't that comfortable...not like bare feet or socks.0

I never wear shoes unless I have to ... it's more a comfort thing for me. Even on my elliptical and stationary bike, I wear slippers instead. Sometimes people come over and see me without shoes and think it's required, but I'm not picky (as long as you don't track mud in). If we replace the carpet I may rethink the issue but until then ...0
