Hey everybody..this is my 3rd or 4th time trying to come back to myfitnesspal. It has worked for me before...but I always get off track if I don't get lots of encouragement from my buddies on MFP. I am a great supporter myself and would love to get some more friends on here that promise to help keep me focused! I keep gaining back the weight I already lost! So frustrating!

PLEASE HELP!

 Stacy

I agree that sticking with it is the hardest part of weight loss. Ive realized that in order to reall see lasting results you must make a conscious lifestyle change! Getting my work outs in each day are not an option but a necessity like going to work and attending class. Good luck with your journey and i'm here for support whenever you need it! I'll need encouragement come November when I get busy with the semester ending and my marathon training picks up!
  • I know what you mean. I feel as if the MFP friends that I have are supportive towards each other from what I can see, but not really towards myself. Although there are maybe 2 or 3 out of the group that do show encouragement towards me daily, usually, I feel that a little more maybe needed to really keep me going.

But it's also showing me that I need to be the biggest encouragement to myself, and that only I can really be there to keep my eating habits true and good.
  • I feel your pain, just ate a cheeseburger because I was STARVING and now I have 173 calories more than I should. Yes I will continue to lose but at a slower pace. Try and emphasize the positive, at least you came back! Yes I will continue to lose weight and how long it takes doesn't matter as long as I stick to it. You stick to it too! I know you can do it.
  • Gotta have that discipline and commitment to your goals. I know how difficult a lifestyle change can be but you have to keep yourself in check and remain in control. I almost cheated today on a new diet I started last Wednesday and was about to stray and have some of the good stuff to eat - which always seems to be bad for you they say - but realized no matter how much support and encouragement I receive on this site or anywhere else in life I am the only one who can make or break this deal that I made to make the changes I need and want to be happy and healthy. At the end of the day, it's your call. Good luck on your journey and support is just a message away! :)

P.S. I'm so craving some beer right now!! Haha
  • Big well done for coming back and being able to face up to why you're struggling. We're all here for you xxx

I just added you. We can help each other. I'm struggling too and not seeing the weight come off as fast as I would like it too.
