I wonder if all of us who respond to and encourage newbies could ask them politely to read the FAQ's mike's and get to know the site before posting another version of the same questions that have been answered at length umpteen times e.g. exercise calorie question.

Good call! I'll be sure to do that from here on out!

I'll attempt to. Sometimes I just don't feel like reading/searching through a million posts

I think this will work if everyone agrees with this topic of calories/exercise. I in fact do not agree with it. Nor does my doctor or my nutritionist....so I probably would be likely to say "hey this is my take" and here is someone else's......that is my take on this subject....I also don't count calories or eat low fat. But I use the site for the way I do eat. So though the masses may follow the "calorie count" there are a few of us who do not.:drinker:
  • I hear where you're coming from all posts in here are for me prefaced with IMHO and acronym that old timers will know means IN MY HUMBLE OPINION.

Fact is that is how this site is set to work - and it is that the newbies need to understand - if they then decide they agree with you then fine there are work arounds e.g. don't log you exercise..

  • In any case I was only using that debate as an aeample there are loads and loads of simple questions being asked that could be answered if people would read the fixed topics in each board or even (shock!!) Use the search before piping up with another How do I ....
