110 pounds lost (Before/during picture)

Hello all,
My name is Blake Crew and I am a 20-year-old college student from Birmingham, AL. I made the decision to have Gastric Bypass Surgery on March 8, 2013. I have lost 110 pounds from my highest weight and 100 since March 8th.
While I know that my weight loss circumstances are different than most on here, I have learned some VERY great tools that can help anyone lose weight. I make my butt go to the gym twice a day 5 or 6 times a week and I keep track of absolutely everything that goes into my stomach. I have made a complete lifestyle change and am so excited about a new, healthier me. Please do not leave negative comments about weight loss surgery being the "easy way out", as they will be ignored.
I would be happy to give any tips/ideas, so feel free to message me!

Great job... you look amazing! I, also, had gastric bypass surgery and have lost 100lbs. total though my loss took longer than yours. My surgery was Sept. 2013. I have been stalled for the past two months but hoping to break it and loose a little more.
Goo luck in your continued journey. ~0 -

You look so much happier! Glad to hear that you've made positive changes after having the surgery and are committed to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Keep up the good work!0

Fan-freacking-tastic! You go Girl! Best wishes forEver!0

There's nothing wrong with gastric bypass as long as the person also learns the correct eating habits to keep the weight off. Some people treat it like a quick fix and go right back to how they were eating before. Some people kill themselves that way.
I think going to the gym 12 times a week might be a little much though.
Oops.. edited because I also meant to say congrats!0 -

I went into the surgery knowing that it would be very hard and that I would be making complete changes to my eating habits forever. I think that it is one of the better things about doing it so young- I don't have as many "set" habits as older people with families and what not.
On the note of the gym, I know it seems a little extreme, BUT because of the rapid weight loss I am trying to tone as best I can because I have a lot of excess skin. I have a trainer though and am being healthy about it.
Thank you!!!!0 -
OUTSTANDING!! So proud of you!!!! :flowerforyou:0

Congrats on your weight loss! I, too, have had a gastric bypass. I will be 9 years post-op on August 3rd. I've lost around 200 lbs since mine (along with having 2 babies since then & some baby weight to lose).
Skin comes with the territory, but your age IS in your favor. I was 26 when I had mine & it was in my favor, also. Be careful with going to the gym *THAT* much.
I'm glad to support you in any way I can!0 -

I am 9 years post op gastric bypass, lost 125lb, and gradually gained 90lb back, having thyroid cancer their in the mix. I am happy you are incorporating exercise in, I lost all the weight without doing a lick of exericise, had plastic surgery, all the skin removed, except my arms, NOW I am still using my pouch to lose, but this time it is so much slower, 1lb a week, no thyroid makes it difficult, BUT this time I am exercising and will need to for the rest of my life to keep the weight from slipping back on:)

Wow that's amazing! Well done you! I think the surgery was a brave decision and i know you must have worked really hard too. Good luck with the rest of your goals x0

I understand your fear at being judged for having surgery to lose weight . People who have never had weight problems will say very hurtful things .
The main thing is that you understand what a healthy lifestyle is , and it sounds like you have that under control .
Good luck to you . You look Amazing .
Thank you for sharing.
