    I was 16. Had my own job. Decided I needed a phone. Bought a cheapo Metro PCS phone.

    My dad didn't believe in giving us things like that. I had to earn it. :3

    I was 15 or 16. It was a TracFone that used minutes that you could buy on prepaid cards. It was for "emergencies only."

    Wow. 14 years ago, I bought my first cell phone, a Nokia at the age of 14. My mother took out a contract for me and I paid the bill directly until I turned 18 and got my own contract. That is crazy. I have not been without a cell phone for 14 years. I am one of those people who never put their phone down. Its just an extension of my hand now. :happy:

    But, I did have a beeper when I was 14, which my parents bought. Lolz.
