need a mentor

I'm in much need of a weight loss mentor. I keep finding myself going off track after I lose weight and then I wind up gaining all and more of what I lost.....I'm very frustrated. I need someone that will hold me accountable and who will encourage me daily. I would love for them to be a strong Christian, as my faith is very important to me. Thanks!

I can understand the ups and downs. For me I have just decided to setup this app and let it guide me, and understand this is not a diet, it is a lifestyle change.

Are you binging on certain foods/drinks like with a partner/SO and can't split it up?

Maybe, for me, its easier being single.

Channel your frustration to a healthier lifestyle. There is no one that wants this more than you, remember that.

Hey! My nam is Darlene. I'm a stay at home mom of 2. New to MFP. As for being an awesome mentor for weight loss? Well I'm still on my way. But I'd be up to encourage you, share what I've learned and what's working for me. And I am a Christian as well. Not just on Sundays either;) lol. But really it's an every day thing. A lot like a healthy body it takes daily work, so if you'd like to add me feel free.

Maybe God doesn't want you to lose weight and that is why you gain it back.

Hope has nothing to do with it. Ask, and it will be given to you.

If you ask and it is not given to you, as it seems it has not been given to you, then you have two alternatives.

Either your faith is deficient or your faith is a sham.

You are trying to lose weight for your own health. I applaud you for undertaking this endeavour and I wish you all the best on your journey. Log everything carefully; every crumb. Record all you exercise without exaggeration. The minute you shackle your achievement to superstition then I am off the bus.
