Not possible. Shoot for 1lb a week at most dont do it the unhealthy way.

Ive been waiting sooo long I would totally rather do it the "unhealthy way" just to get it done and over with....

Okay, you've had lots of advice from your many threads and now I know why you started so many. You wanted a quick fix. The fact that you just said this irks me. This site isn't for you and I'm not going to give you ways to hurt yourself.

I'd wish you best of luck but I'd be lying.

My sympathies to you and I think you should try pro-ana sites instead or just go get lipo-suction.

The rest of us that are willing to work for our success will be winning and happy with ourselves and our choices. :flowerforyou:

^^ such a supportive member ! Why even post this ?

    Because it's the truth. Duh?

^^telling someone to get off this site and go to a pro -Anna site . Who's truth is that ?

Because no one on this site (I hope) would give her ways to put herself in danger to lose the last 10lbs. And as I said, she's asked and gotten the same advice many times.

^^ it seems like you just did

And gif stolen for future inevitable use.

Geezus. Get off your high horse already. Joy is an incredibly supportive and inspiring member who tells it like it is. She is not one to sit back and allow someone to harm themselves because they are so desperate to lose weight that they will resort to anything in order to do so. I wish there were more people on MFP like her.
Thanks to most posts. And for the other, who in the heck cares what I posted before??? This is today and this is what im posted TODAY. Yesterday doesn't matter people - it's what we do today and what we are gonna do in the future. I am trying to lose this gd weight and I AM doing everything right! Even messing up with cheat meals! Having cheat meals is still doing it right! My problem is patience okay! And yes I want a quick fix - doesn't everyone??? Like i said before, I've lost 15lb in 4 months. Why can't I lose 10lbs in 7 months now? Im impatient and frustrated. I just need people to push me to keep going! THAT IS WHY I MAKE MY POSTS AND ASK QUESTIONS!!!!!!!!!! YEAH WOOHOO!!!! YA YA YA YA YA YA!!!!!!! CALL ME CRAZY< CALL ME WHAT U WANT!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! LMFAO!

Woah. Back away from the computer already... The last 10 pounds are incredibly difficult to lose. I have been working on my last 10 pounds for about 3 months, and I am still not there yet. Do I b*tch and moan about it? No. But, I do push myself to work harder and remain focused.

What good is racing to the finish going to do you? You will be at your goal weight, but you will have learned absolutely nothing about losing weight in a healthy and sustainable manner. And, using extreme measures in order to lose those last 10 pounds will undoubtedly lead you to gain all of that weight back. You have people here who are giving you sound advice and telling you to be patient and lose the weight the right way. Yet, you keep fishing for someone to coddle you and tell you that abusing your body in order to lose weight is okay. If you want to be ridiculous and unhealthy about the way you are losing weight, then so be it. But, don't expect the majority of us to support you in doing so.

There are plenty of ways to lose 10 pounds but part of that is what you are eating..try Eat to live..Really any vegetarian diet can get you lower than you are and all you need to do is introduce the meat, startches and such back in slowly.

well, obviously you don't. even though it's the same question with the same answers
This is today and this is what im posted TODAY. Yesterday doesn't matter people

once again, i think that's just you. My yesterday's matter to me. Especially if I'm doomed to repeat them over and over. That's when I like to look at my yesterday and see how I can make my tomorrow more productive.
    - it's what we do today and what we are gonna do in the future.

Not a psychic, but i'm betting the future holds more threads with the same damn question, over and over again
And yes I want a quick fix - doesn't everyone???

Can't speak for everyone, but I don't want a quick fix. I want an effective, permanent fix
    CALL ME CRAZY

I would say because you're "eyeballing" things. Try logging your calories for the month of august and see what happens.

No no no. If you rush it you will fail, if not initially, then at least when you gain it back. Trust in the process. Keep up what you know works. Log your food. What are you rushing for??

So you're asking for unhealthy methods advice. That's not ethical for anyone to do and it's wrong of you to even ask.

    2) Lift heavy
    3) Do cardio

    5) Be patient

Probably if you actually followed your own game plan... particularly 4) & 5) you wouldn't need to have weekly freak outs over lack of progress.

But this is the forums, NO ROOM FOR LOGIC AROUND HERE!

I have taken the advice from other people and I have done it for more than 2 weeks - got nothing!!! I've been trying this last 10lbs thing since freaking January! Obviously these things don't work for me because i've got no results. That's why im always on here looking for more info. If I lost weight within the 2 weeks of taking/practising the advice given, THEN of course im gonna continue with it. I should at least lose 1lb from 2 weeks of practice, but nope! Sooooooo, I need to try something different and I have yet to find that different advice.

You've already admitted to not logging accurately so no, you haven't taken advice from other people on here.

And 2 weeks honestly isn't enough time. Give it 8 and then you can complain.

Also, stop picking arbitrary numbers and start making fitness goals related to physical achievements. Weight loss, fat loss and lean body mass retention will be a product of your 5 bullet points plus the number you think is your goal, this magical 10lbs from your current weight, might not even correspond with the body composition you're looking for. When you switch the focus over to meeting lifting goals you won't value a stupid little number as much and might find a little self worth out of this whole experience which after reading other posts you seem to be lacking in.

    Solid point.

And OP, I'm not saying you don't have the right to post these recurring threads...

...but you have received plenty of sound advice to your repetitive questions...

...and given that valid responses are arguably a finite resource...

...you may be depriving others of receiving good feedback to their requests for help.

    Just something to think about.

Your arm or leg probably weighs close to 10lbs - just chop off a limb. Problem solved.
  • CW 150lb in am/155lb in pm (each time i weigh in morning and night, they differ like this)
    GW 140lb
31 year old female with type 1 diabetes and hypothyroidism - both controlled
Work in busy seafood retail 5 days a week. Look after 18 month old son all other times/days. He's fassstttt!!!!
    Heavy lift 2-3 times a week. 50 crunches every 2nd day. (Squats 5x5 @ 60lbs, OHP 5x5 @ 50lbs, Rows 5*5 @ 60lbs, Deads 3*5 @ 110lbs, 10lb dumbs reverse fly, bench press 50lbs 5*5, trilats pulldowns 5*5 @30lbs.
I walk for 30 minutes 2-3 times a week. Sometimes I jog for 30 min once a week. On days off (2 a week) I swim at the beach.
I aim for about 1300 cals a day. At least once a week i go over to about 2400cals. Some days are a bit more high carb than others. I have protein at each meal (breakfast lunch supper)
I drink about 2 coffee and water with Mio (4 cups) per day

Note: This plan has been going on for about 2 months BUT, I've been having trouble with the eating part - prob not really at a deficit like i think I am.....

How can I tweak this plan to drop these last 10lbs in the month of August!!!!! - other than weighing and measuring and making sure I don't go over cals....

Stop trying to lose weight and accept your current (healthy) way. Start lifting weights to build your lean body mass and to make you appear slimmer. Eat at your TDEE for a couple of weeks and see what your weight does. That'll give you an idea of what to do if you are really determined to drop a few more pounds in the future.

PS with Type 1 diabetes you're probably on insulin right? (I'm no endocrinologist ) My recollection is that insulin is not weight loss friendly - the whole point of it is to drive glucose into cells and prevent breakdown of fat - many Type 2 diabetic patients started on insulin will often put on more weight for this reason. If your glucose levels are controlled and you are not putting on weight I think you've hit the jackpot here andits best to leave well alone.

I don't know your posting history but if it is true that you keep re-posting hoping for someone to advise you to make the wrong choices then you're on the wrong forum - you know what to do if you want to do it the unhealthy way. Feel free to disregard all advice and chart your own course.

Lol! I agree that you should try consistently measuring and logging for a couple months and see what happens. If you don't have a loss then, slightly lower your calories or do a little more cardio. Like others have said, once you're no longer overweight it can be hard to maintain a deficit. If you aren't logging and are having frequent "cheats" it's easy to imagine how you're ending up without a calorie deficit.

I've only lost 8 lbs since November but 8 lbs of fat gone is better than 0 and I've kept my sanity in the process  Good luck!!!

Hi, More cardio is the only way you will lean out. You also have to remember muscle weights more than fat. You will weigh more but be leaner. Increase your cardio to 40 minutes a day. try something different like cycling or power walking. Up the cardio and I bet you will start to lose. Take care, Yvie

WEIGHT LOSS IS NOT LINEAR. Your body isn't this magical robot that will immediately adjust to the past 24 hrs of activity and calorie intake. Water retention due to sodium, weight lifting, carbs, hormones can cause your weight to fluctuate and yes, potentially not see a loss over the course of two weeks.

I'm not saying that 8 weeks is another magical timeframe, but 8 weeks is enough time to have allowed yourself to be PATIENT ENOUGH and CONSISTENT ENOUGH to actually see legitimate results. RESULTS aren't always seen on the SCALE.

You are within 10lbs of your weightloss goal. Take a hint since you are at a healthy weight already and STOP WEIGHING YOURSELF until you can be less of a drama queen about it. For the bajillionth time, start making fitness goals and working towards those while eating at an ACCURATELY LOGGED deficit of 10-15% less than your TDEE. And eat enough protein and fat while you're at it. If you really want to track progress other than a sweet workout log book to document your FITNESS GOALS then start taking measurements and progress pictures every other week or so.

Well, I lost 5 pounds in a week from proper tracking. I track it ALL now and I eat pretty healthy, and I'm not starving. I work out almost every day and I eat almost all of my exercise calories back. Since this is my first week of truly tracking I suspect the next 5 pounds will be more gradual, but I'm shooting for 10 pounds in a month because I have spent the past year trying to lose 10 pounds. It's calorie deficit. I want to knock it out and finally get it done. Then I'll move my calories back up to maintenance.

You lost 5lbs in a week because probably at least 3 of it was water. I appreciate the underlying point of this post about accurate logging. But if you truly understand your caloric needs and were logging accurately on top of it, you'd realize how outlandish a legitimate loss of 5lbs of fat or even body mass in one week is. You would've been creating a deficit of 17,500 calories over the course of the week.

If you actually did this and are within 10lbs of your goal, you have way more important things to worry about than the number on the scale such as undereating, overexercising, and loss of lean body mass. You do understand that the closer you are to your goal weight the more important it becomes to lose gradually, assuming your body composition has also improved, to retain muscle. There is a difference between goal weight and goal body composition, people rarely understand the weight that corresponds with their goal body composition or even the best methods to get there. I understand "wanting it done" but at what cost, feeling sluggish, losing definition, letting the scale dictate how you feel? You honestly can't keep up such a humongous deficit, even 10,000 calories, over the course of weeks without some ill side effects.
