Personally, I'd just be glad that he's inclined to workout. My dh doesn't and I'd love him to lose some weight and buff up again. I'd even clean the bench for him.

should i wear an apron too?

You should ALWAYS wear an apron!!!

Isn't that standard workout attire now?

I find that " OI!..bollock head...wipe down the bench" works well for me.

but it might just be my warm personality.
  • That is terrible gym etiquette and I would have absolutely no problem saying, "Dude. Seriously? WTF? Wipe that *kitten* off and take your weights off!!" If he doesn't, report him to management. I am sick to death of inconsiderate people.
  • report him to the gym staff if you feel uncomfortable confronting him. they should be able to take care of it.

Do you have a post workout sammich waiting for him? If not he may be trying to give you a hint that you're not living up to your part of the marriage.

    Pee on it.

Peeing on things makes it yours.

    Problem solved ;)

I understand not reading all of the replies before you respond...seriously, I get that (even though that can sometimes be a little problematic)...

...but not reading all of OP's short post?

    C'mon.

I think it might just be that you're british.

Just break up and deny him hookers and blow.

Or the aforementioned leaving a feminine product on said bench (I would include a note saying this is for not cleaning up after yourself).

I would ask the gym staff to put up a sign that says, "Please wipe down equipment after use" and "Please unload all weights after use".

should I use poster board? our gym isn't very big.

Next time show up just before he's done, with a pressure washer.

You should eat all of his snacks. That'll show him.

Yes... and big bold neon pink letters... can't miss it then. Or put tacks on the seat.

Instead, give it to him...go all out, dress up, etc....and then after, tell him he won't be getting that anymore and he'll know it's punishment for something he's doing wrong.

I think this post is a hoax. You won't withhold sex but you're not sure if you'll catch something from his sweat on the bench.

Maybe you should just clean it off like a good wife should.

    Jeez. Stop yapping, start cleaning.

Why are you in the gym anyway, did he tell you that you could leave the kitchen?
  • Um, whatever.
  • Who is OP? I was responding to firstsip. I am confused.

OP = original post/poster = firstsip (at least in this thread.)

    And yes...yes you are.

If it's any consolation, however, you are not alone...

OP is "original post/poster". This is firstsip. In her very funny OP she states that this is her home gym. Still confused?
  • I think she is referring to it being her home gym, the one she goes to all the time, not her gym at home. I don't think I'm the only one who is confused here.

I'd be way more annoyed with the failure to re-rack the weights than the sweat.
