Anyone from Mexico

I am traveling to Mexico on a cruise also. We are going to Cozumel to be exact. I was wondering myself was it safe to travel into the towns and such once we dock.

Last time I went was Juarez but that's when it was a bit safer. I love the food though, and have my Mexican friends bring back Mexican candy.

Even though I live in Mexico I have a hard time answering your question, since it's kind of generic. Mexico has many parts I would not go, because they are notoriously unsafe. Most places are no different from other countries, always if a person uses common sense. People from other countries are often victims of petty crime, because they do not apply this kind of common sense. If you do you should be ok in Poza Rica.
