Since we all know you lose weight faster than women, I thought I would ask what is it you do, differently or in addition, that I can include in my day?

Because males has more muscle tissue that can boost your metabolism and also has a high testosterone level.0

Men have more testosterone and naturally have more lean body mass. Lean body mass determines Basal Metabolic Rate, therefore, men burn far more calories, simply existing, then women do. It's not fair, but that's the way life is.0

I lost 22lbs in 10 weeks. Maintained ever since. I wrote down everything I ate did push ups, spin, ran up and down stairs at lunch
Always got 8 hrs of sleep. I was in a biggest loser contest at work and went from 188 to 166lbs. Came in 2nd if I had one more
week I think I could have won cause I went from 4th to 2nd and was really hitting a good stride.0 -
I cut way back on carbs and started playing racquetball at least twice a week as well as other exercise sports; bicycle, sailing, etc. The doctor basically said that the more exercise I did the better the weight loss would be because of the metabolism shift caused by the exercise. I've lost 50# with that, stuck trying to get rid of 20# more. Need more exercise, I guess....0

Do the little things and they add up, take stairs instead of elevators, park at the far end of the parking lot instead of as close to the doors as possible, veggie snacks, leave a little early for appointments and park a block away....look at any and everything you can do to increase activity level...lol, that exercises the mind too.0

I started with a detox - that really helped me deal with cravings. Once all the gunk is out of your system, you crave less of the junk. Since then, I have been eating less than 400 calories per meal/snack and making sure I eat 4-5 times a day ... don't go more than 2 hours without eating something. Even a small yogurt and a banana will do for a snack. Most important thing, really, has been PLANNING my meals. If I carry my food with me to work, then I don't even have to consider where I'm going for lunch. That's the food side.
As far as exercise - cardio 5 times per week, 30 minutes each time. (during detox). Up to 35 minutes each time after that. Cardio only for a month and then start with the lifting (you decide what weight and reps work for you).
I haven't felt deprived at all and try to do a different cardio exercise each day - or walk/jog a different route. I'm down 17 pounds, on my way to 40.0 -
My trainers have clients for NPC, WBFF and they say their male and female clients lose at the same rate.
For me they have me on a 5 day on lifting schedule and two days off, which I can use for cardio but they ask me to avoid it whenever possible. The key is the more muscle tissue, more calories needed to maintain that tissue. Its leaned me right out. When I was prepping for my vacation they then added the cardio and I lost bodyfat but I lost muscle too but it was worth it.
So lift heavy, lift often and eat.....
Ive lost more eating 3500 cals a day then i ever did eating 1800 cals a day0 -
Its been my experience that women tend to eat more carby food then men. My wife basically lives on carbs during shark week. It also seems to mostly be processed grains like white bread and pasta. Not sure if its a factor or if I just happen to know a lot of women who are carb addicts but I remember that when I said I was doing a low carb diet last year women almost universally said 'I could never give up carbs'. Men almost never said this. I since have watched friends while out at dinner and the men average one slice of bread for every two by the women (although women are much better at portion control).
Like all generalizations there are exceptions, though. Just offering OP something I have observed that may or may not be a thing.
Edit: I am not saying carbs are bad, mkay?0 -

Being competitive and setting lots of targets - not just weight loss but strength, fitness, PB's for distance cycled, body fat %age etc...
Even the daily goal of calories or macros sparks my competitive nature.
PS
And chasing loose women of course, although I'm a bit like a dog chasing a car (wouldn't know what to do if I caught one....).0 -

Wait...we do?0
