Moderate low carb 5/7 days?

So I am curious about this idea. If I moderate low carb 120-150 grams roughly 5 out of 7 days and then eat at my typical carb level (200-250- yeah... I like my carbs...) two days, would I destroy the effort I'm putting in to get my body to burn the fat instead of carbs on those 5 days? I just worry because I really would love to have a slice of homemade bread at some point or cereal and sometimes this low carb thing doesn't quite do the trick for me. What are your thoughts? My diary is open, but just a heads up, today was not a normal day, i wasn't very hungry, usually I eat about 1700 calories a day.
Thanks!
Thanks!

From what I understand, burning fat first (or so the story goes) is what happens when you cut carbs below what your body needs and keep them below what your body needs. What you're describing sounds similar to what I did when I first started on this site - five days of lower calories and carbs, then one day of slightly higher cals and carbs and one day of what amounted to a smorgasboard. This was a product of my weekend food service job combined with seventeen-mile Sunday rides. I took a vacation recently but I've been getting back on the wagon. Yes, this is effective. Not fad diet level effective, but neither does it seem to come with the urge to binge back up.0

there is no point in adding high carb days if you arent eating LOW carbs (50g max) for a majority of the week.0 -
How active are you? Low carb diets aren\t for everyone. I tried it and literally said "F**k this!" But yet I am still loosing weight and getting fit. I eat about 100-250g of carbs a day. Sometimes even more if it`s an intense cardio and workout day. If your active, your body needs it! Your brain runs mostly off of carbs to be honest. But if you`re eating that many carbs and doing s**t all, then we have a problem!
But to answer your question, the low carb diet works at less than 30-50g of carbs a day. Anymore then that and it`s pointless for what you`re trying to do.0
