Lets revisit this conversation. While working out at the gym, WOMEN, do you feel more comfy wearing undies or going commando? Explain why?

Sometimes I go commando. I'll be honest, I usually end up getting some sort of huge wedgie and while I don't mind just going ahead and picking it out of my *kitten*, I feel a little more free when I'm not wearing underwear.4

I buy the shorts with the built in panties and go without. I can't stand a wedgie, and once you get one, it never stops creeping back in there.2

I only wear thongs, so it's already pre-wedgied for me. There are definitely more comfortable ones out there than most people think. I get mine from Fredrick's of Hollywood. They have a wider/stretchy side band made out of a lace type material.3

They are really comfortable. . . . . . just make sure you don't wear one that's too small!1 -

Some materials and cuts can be really uncomfortable.
The biggest mistake women make is buying them too small.0 -
Thongs are the best invention ever! I can't believe I was afraid of them for so many years.1

I workout at home alone and when I get hot or uncomfortable the clothes come off. reason why I cannot join a gym.3

I have sports undies by New Balance.2 -

You are not alone, friend. :laugh:0 -
squats in a thong must be painful.0

I wear cotton thongs...if they fit correctly you won't feel them at all. Some of the micro fiber workout ones are good too.1

Thong or nothing. Even the built in undies bother me.1

You're wearing the wrong thong then.2 -

No, unless as previous posters have mentioned, you wear too small thongs. I doubt I will ever own panties again1 -

Since I don't really go to a gym, I pretty much do it in whatever. Once I do though, doctor ordered to a certain place that my insurance covers, I'm gonna have to find something. Can't scare off everybody else in there.0

Thongs!! All day everyday unless I'm sleeping that's when I am commando..
For those that think thongs are uncomfortable they aren't a giant wedgie all day you don't feel it. As long as the actual thong isn't too wide you don't even know. My fav's are the lace ones from VS!
I haven't wore real underwear in over 15 years. Even my booty gets hungry with boy shorts lol1 -
COMMANDO - dont want the wedgie!!!
In my regular clothes I wear a thong.... my daughter when she was very little asked me once "mommy why dont your underwear have a butt in them" - hahaha2 -
When I was a frequent ( almost daily during six years ) gym visiter I always made sure I wore fresh undies ( and had another pair in my bag ) because they absorbed sweat much better and are easy to wash out , even by hand. My workout clothes were always of better quality ( and therefore also somewhat expensive ) and my idea was to also protect them.
I should add that for the gym I wore underwear that did not cause wedgies and can kind of not understand why anyone would knowing their underwear was uncomfortable. It's not like there are no other choices........0 -
Great big men's basketball shorts, they come down to my knees; a shirt long enough to cover my butt, sports bra. those three things. the big shirt will hide any wedgie. no i do not look cute at the gym.2

commando (except for TOM) It's so much more comfortable. No wedgies, no weird rubbing. It's fantastic0
