Hey everyone, any students out there looking to start a group? I did a search but the most recent was from 5 months ago so why not try this? I figure we can get eachother motivated about losing weight and becoming more fit as well as studying and getting through school. We could also do some little challenges in there if you guys want.

Any takers? ;-)

Day before Halloween. Group work is so awkward... You get these people: :indifferent: :embarassed:   :grumble:  all together and they stare at each other the whole time.

Studying law you're life will probably get more interesting! Maybe you'll nearly get shot in the courtroom for breaking up a mob ring. :smokin: Or maybe I've seen too much TV!

I love fantasy and most other genres of fiction. Can't stand cowboy stories though (which we have an overabundance of here in Oklahoma). What do you like to read?

brittany, I'm doing comm. college too. I used to say that I'm not in "real" college yet. But it's a good way to get in your basics cheaply. My uncle said that he wasted so much money on the basics in a private college that he could have saved by going to the comm. college. So it's not a bad thing!

Welcome Kat, Brittany, Ally, Laura, and Lucy. Anyone else i missed too!

Katie, group work is SO awkward especially bc I like everything done a certain way. I like it when I get a group of slackers bc I can do everything myself  I'm excited about cjus but I'm not sure exactly what I want to do yet. At first I wanted to do juvenile probation but theres so many different directions that cjus can take you!

I like to read what my boyfriend calls "screwed up" books. If theres a teen pregnancy, drug addiction, some hideous act of trauma - im all over it. And ofcourse true crime books! I also like classics though, like Of Mice and Men, Great Gatsby, Catcher in the Rye. I like a bit of everything!

Great job! I can barely do the one minute.

I'm up for a challenge! :drinker:

Got new weights for the 30DS and they killed me. No soreness now, I think I'm avoiding soreness with chocolate milk of all things, but wow, when I was using them I could barely lift my arms!

    Hey guys,

Keep up the good work Abbiez :)

So unfortunate the other day, i went to go join the gym in my area (its sort of away from other suburbs by about 20 min). I was looking at the timetable and everything for ages until i went and asked the chicks at the desk who then told me the gym was actually closing down soon...just my luck hahaha. I've decided to pick up Zumba as so many people have raved about it and me and a mate will be doing a class next week which im so excited about!!

Hope your all training hard :D

I'm only on week 3 and i am WAY behind. My 5k is on 10/9 and I'm really hoping I'll be able to do it :/ Running 5 mins was no problem yesterday (i could actually breathe and everything! haha) so i think instead of going to the gym today I'm going to a marked trail (its a 3mile loop and is marked every 1/4mile) and see how far I cant actually run and maybe do something like walk 1/4 run 1/4. Right now I'm not concerned about my time for my 5k I just want to finish it!

Good morning everyone! Happy Saturday  Hope everyones having a good day so far!

Today I plan on doing 30ds and running again, this time going for distance. I also have to swing by the grocery store and get ingredients for buffalo chicken dip and cream cheese brownies (all healthier versions!) Me and Jesse (my boyfriend) are having a movie night tonight and he loves the dip and ive been wanting to try those brownies  I also have to study psychology (test on the 16th! :ohwell:), intro to criminal justice and math (tests on the 20th for those ones, ahh). I'm so nervous.

I'll check back later, talk to you all soon

Good morning everyone! I kind of majorly failed on the diet and exercise yesterday. Going out on Thursday night killed me so today I plan on making up for it. I didn't go out last night so it feels really good to have a whole Saturday ahead of me to get some work done, hit the gym and watch the Alabama vs. Penn State game!! Have a good day everyone!

Yeah, even if you walk some of it a 5k is still a big accomplishment.
Ha ha not breathing, i remember that, it gets easier (though i'm finding week 8 a little tough, might do it twice  ). I remember in the beginning I was so proud of myself for running that 5 min section and was really scared about moving up to 8 and 10 mins. But It's definitely do-able.
I always run outside, rain or shine, i find it much more fun and relaxing than on a treadmill, i hope you enjoy it too.
Good luck with the run

Hi, I'm Rose and I'm hoping to join this group. I'm a sophomore in college majoring in Economics.

College is completely ruining my diet, and by college I mean my lack of control in college. Lol, this summer I was resisting ice-cream and other frozen desserts easily, one week in college and I've already ordered out like twice.

I'm doing the C25K program too, I'm restarting tomorrow at wk 4 so I hope that I'm still okay enough to do it.

I was using water bottles at first, but now I have 3lb. Doesn't sound like a lot until I used it!

I've seen 3 people on here so far say that the 30DS was too boring to finish... I don't get that. Was it too easy or what?
