Hello My name is Chelsea, and i am looking for some support in my journey. I apologize for the long intro, but i think its necessary.
I have been on here about a month, but i have gotten pretty serious about losing weight in the last 2 or 3 months.
I have always thought i was "healthy". I thought because i only ate one meal a day (a very huge...HUGE meal a day) that i was eating well. I decided to go vegetarian (its actually pescitarian since i just don't eat meat) back in August of 2010. Why you ask? Because i did not think i could do it and i felt a little bit like a hypocrite when i would cry over animals being abused/tortured while i was sitting down to a tasty steak. So i signed up for a 30 day pledge - 3 years later almost and I have no intentions of going back (no matter what anyone says so dont try!!)
Lets backup. I have always been chubby - the bigger girl - and have always been called cute (ugh!). By 2009 (my wedding) I was up to 180lbs. Between 2010 and May of this year I have dropped to 165lbs just from the change in my diet to being vegetarian. I changed nothing else. I still only ate one meal a day, didn't work out and ate nothing but processed food.
Well in May of this Year i had had enough. Something in my brain clicked. I am tired of crying every time i have to go shopping for clothes. I am tired of living in hooded sweatshirts. I am tired of not wanting to go anywhere because i think i look "fat". I am tired of not being able to live life.
I am now working out between 4-6 days a week. I walk during my breaks at work and alternate between Jillian Michaels Killer Abs and Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 (i would like to do insanity one of these days ). I started C25k about a month ago and got up to week five and sprained my ankle .
I also volunteer at the Humane Society and walk dogs on the weekends - free exercise for both of me and the dogs we both deserve it very much!
As of today I am down from my starting weight on MFP of 165lbs to 152lbs. My first goal is to get to 150lbs (2 more to go!) as i have not been that low since i started my job in 2007. My next goal is to get to a weight that I am comfortable at (Maybe 140/130?)
Anyone that is interested in helping me through this journey please feel free to friend me. I would also love to encourage some people along the way as well!

Hello:)
First off I am a little scared about how close our stories are! I was 180 and always thought I was healthy too. Then I became a vegetarian and partially starved myself then I got to about 150. I'm 165 now because I started eating a ton (still no meat) because I thought that no one could tell I lost weight so I got down on myself. Okay, well that part might not sound like you lol but anyway I'm also tired of being the 'bigger girl' and wearing sweatshirts when it's 90 degrees out because I feel fat.
Feel free to add me!0 -

I'll definitely add you and would love to support you. My goal weight is 150 or 155 (I'm 5'10") and I'm at 182, started at 204. Nice to meet you and good luck!0
