I dont know if someone covered this topic but its bugging me. I am open for all to critizize me. I had gastric by pass years ago and list 185.ladt year i went depression and no excercise and gaind fifty lbs. A lit of foidi cant eat beacuse i cant digest. I am alo have bleeding ulcers and stomach is not great. I dont eat much.i am not hungy. If if i eat when i am in no mood u feel sick and throw up. Zofran i take a lot.
Anywats ilove exercsing. I can burn 1000 a day easybut eating alist 1000 calories is killing me. I et healthy. I dint eat bread, rice, chicialte and a lit if ithere stuff.
What should my net calories be.istarted at 210 lbs amonth ago. Lost 17lbs now but been plataueing. This happen before. I been under stress agagain but trying to contine. I am 5' 4". I use to be 165 lbs and acciordng to plastic surgeon if i will loose 25 to 35lbs skin. I use ti be 350lbs
But what should my net weight be. Do less excercise which makes me depress. What do i do. I cant eat and drink same time and u dru k alot if water.

My doctor refered me to nutrion specialist that deals with gastric patients. I am looking foward for my appointment and have a list for them when i see them. I am excited.0

It sounds to me like the biggest problem you are having is a lack of energy to burn lots of calories from exercise. Most people in this situation would be advised to eat back their exercise calories (you mention burning 1000 in a day) to give your body the energy it needs.
Unfortunately it sounds like in your case you cannot consume large quantities of food because of your surgery. You may not like to hear this but the best answer is probably to decrease the size of your calorie deficit. 17 pounds is a lot to lose in a month and is not a sustainable pace in your circumstances. If you want to stop your weight from going up and down like a yo-yo, then stop racing to lose weight as quickly as you can. If you instead aim to lose 4 or 5 pounds in a month (a deficit 500 calories a day will lead to about 1 pound a week) will get you to your goal by this year (of 25-35 pounds). No need to race
Losing weight at a slower pace will also allow you to start exercising. For now aim to burn a lesser number of calories while working out (think less cardio and more strength exercise). This will make it easier for you to eat back your exercise calories and have more energy.

I actually did this in this week. I cut back 2 hours on treadmill to 30 minute program every other day and still eat less. Non on pupose i just dont eat much and have healthy food in my house on pupose. Many i cant eat.
I notice i stop plataeuing and started going down the scale. I havent posted much because dont want to discourage others. But i am going down agaain also inches but havent cheked it in.
My exi broke up about a ear a half and a half ago would yell at me. Constantly make me workout and we ate a lit. He didnt loose much and was a good built guy. He gained and i lost and that made he even madder. I didnt knw what to say. He try to stuff me like a pig. I cant eat muchbut now am loosing again and barely excercising. But i love excercising.
My goal is to loose mre and get a body make over toremove a lot and i mean a lit excess skin. Trust this wont go back in when you 350 and lose half your body skin ony goes back so much.
But i wont more info on the net hw it works0 -
Update.....get this.
Almost 2 months ago. I fell in the bathroom and hurt myself bad. I went the following week to the doctor because I couldnt stand the pain. He did MRI on my (butt). I broke my coccyx bone (tail bone) plus I had him do an MRI on my right shoulder. Being right handed. Its been hurting worse than ever. I had a car accident 2 years ago and my arm I broke it and had it in a cast (ended up being cast 3 times because of not healing). The pain would come and go. But I kept training but even harder and harder weights doing the p90x (when i had that abusive boyfriend over 2 years ago he has been gone).
well the mri showed I had a buspid on my right arm (which drained but it was still bad and also I have a torn shoulder) I will be having surgery in a few weeks. I been in bed for over a week...and I been drinking my water 6-8 bottles of dasani. I still DONT eat as much.....because of the gastric by pass. But I try as much as I can. I take lots of vitamins. I did see a gastric by pass nutritionist and she increased all my pills double and even FOUR times the amount of a normal person (because my blood test) shows that I am low. I also am anemic again but dont want to take iron pills. Bad enough I take a lot of fiber and "lactulose" to help me go to bathroom and barely go.
But this month alone I have lost almost 20 lbs....and NO EXCERCISE. I feel tired.....I know I am losing muscle and I dont want that. I am also noticing my collar bone and my other bones are sticking out. NOT what I want. Plus my old clothes (slimmer) are starting to fit like a glove again. Thats a good thing.
So today I got up....and started doing some stuff around the house (See I dont calculate that as excercise...nor do I calcuate how much I loose sleeping) Thats one thing that Myfitnessdosent calculate. what you loose sleeping. Plus they should have an special plan for people that have surgery like me.
I think about it. Why did I have the surgery? Well because I was going to die in five years....but then again if you think about it. Its basically making you anorexic/bulimic. They operate on your stoamach size of an egg and by pass 80 percent of your intestine so you dont absorb a lot (thats why all the vitamins), and they dont operate your eyes so you still want to eat MORE.....and end up throwing up. Sad because they put me in a bulimic class (I had the surgery when it first came out...when no one knew a lot about it). Now there are different surgeries and reversal. Mine isnt.
I am stuck. I need help and no one seems to understand.
I did the HCG diet a long time ago (ex wanted to do it...the injection) I know people that done it. You eat 500 calories. I can do that.......if I try hard enough eating healthy. I dont do fast food. Plus no excercise......and I saw the person loose a lot. How come that works?
Am I hurting myself excercising again....increasing my DEFICIT...or should I NOT excercise (walk around house, do house chores, daily activities and eat my little food), and start loosing weight. Because it seems thats what I am doing.
I also measured myself........Ive lost inches. What gives? Does ANYONE know anything about gastric by pass and what works for them?
Seems the less I excercise or DECREASE my excercise I loose more weight. Opposite of what myfitness says. But remember I am different from most people on here. I had a life changing body surgery. Anyone else in my situation. I do not want to be anorexic or bulimic. I been told to look good.....and remember acording to surgeron. After body reconstruction. Ill probobly be 130 or so being only 5'4''. Thats good. I dont want to be a model.0
