Fitbit One - did you get good results?

I'm thinking of buying a Fitbit One but wondering if others have found it useful.
I thought it would be interesting to see what my sleeping habits are really like with the sleep option but wondered if anyone was able to use that information to actually improve things. If you did, how did you do it?
I had been using a cheap pedometer a few weeks ago and it really helped me realise my amount of steps each day and the differences in types of activities I do. It's broken now and wasn't all that reliable so wondered about getting something more up-tech. I want something discreet to wear at work not something for intense exercise.
I originally thought of the Fitbit Zip but when I saw the Fitbit One had the sleep tracker I just wondered if it's worth it.
