50% Polish, 25% German and 25% I have no idea. My dad never cared to ask his dad, but I'm told there is English (UK), and Norwegian in there; maybe some native American (dad's guess) but I have no idea what kind.0

On my mom's side: German and Irish immigrated in the 1800's, British immigrated in the 1600's.
On my Dad's side: German and Danish in the 1800's, British in the 1600's.
Born in Indiana and moved to Georgia when I was six. I consider myself a southerner with midwestern parents.0 -
I'm Irish, Scottish and English ancestry - born in Canada. I think people that live in North America are curious about their heritage because their family history is, very often, unknown. Hundreds of years ago, most people were born, lived and died in the same area. Now we move around the world with shallow roots and we need to know that we do have deeper roots someplace.0

On dad's side, Danish is the most prominent, with my ancestor Jesse James sticking out like a sore thumb. There was also a cook for the king of Denmark (1700's I think...). Mom's side is French/German/British with just a smattering of Native American (Nez Perce).0
