So, today I begin yet another weight loss journey. I began P90x today, following the suggested nutrition guidelines (as closely as I can). I am starting out at 164 lbs and I am at 36% Body Fat...OUCH! I am 5' 4". My goal is to tighten and tone and lose about 30 lbs. (my pre-baby weight). I have had 2 beautiful kiddos...lost an extreme amount of weight after my first and never lost all of the weight from my second. I am finding it harder now that I am in my 30's. I know I can do this as I have before, but my biggest thing is to be held accountable. I am not comfortable in my own skin, I think about my weight continuously. I have a great husband who is super fit and we have 4 great kiddos. I want to set a great example for them and to be a healthy mom and wife! I am hoping MFP will be exactly what I need! I will upload photos tomorrow. Here goes nothing....

So maybe we can hold each other accountable. I began yesterday and my goal is to lose 50 lbs...I am starting out at 192 lbs and I am 5' 2". Like your self I have a very supportive husband who himself have decided he also needs to drop about 25 lbs...he ordered Insanity yesterday to get himself going. My problem is I cant seem to motivate myself to exercise.. I have a stationary bike, and a resistance toning bench but just cant seem to use either one...I find that as I approach menopause that walking feels like a chore because my thighs are feeling like lead especially when it gets close to my monthly cycle. Like you I am so uncomfortable in my skin...I hate looking in the mirror and avoid taking pictures at all cost...I could use the buddy support system if you don't mind.0

Welcome! MFP is a great website. I would be lost without it. I am pretty much on here every day. I love the fact that you can eat whatever you want as long as you are accountable for it. I started my journey March 23,2013. I too am a wife, and mother in her 30's. There are awesome friends and support on this website. It has changed my life. If you want feel free to add me as a friend.0

Hello Ladies, I just joined up myself and looking for some accountability. Hope you don't mind that I'm a guy who is 50 years old with two active teenagers. My wife is encouraging but is in good shape herself.
Keep in going everyone!0 -

But I will not let that stop me !!! I want to learn how to est right for a life time and take off weight doing it!!0

My journey is a lot like yours, I am 54 and want to lose 75 lbs. and it is hard for me to motivate to exercise I also have a treadmill & have to push myself to walk on it> I do know the more you do it the less your legs feel heavy, but I need the motivation to keep walking 3 to 4 times a week.
I am very motivated doing the diet now that I am on here, it is nice to know that you can look up the calories from just about any major restaurant and then know what to order. My doctor told me today to get on this before he even knew I was already doing it. He had many wonderful things to say about My Fitness Pal! I would like to be friends & we can help motivate each other during this life style change!0 -
Thanks for the words of encouragement CoachNye and Beady101 it seems we are going to be here to lend each other moral support...I am even more motivated now that I know I have others who are in the struggle like myself. I will post once a day because I have very hectic schedule...my hubby leaves for work at 4:30 am.. I spend from 4:30am-6am responding to emails for my NFP then I am out the door by 7am and do not return until 6:30 pm...so if you send me a message and I don't respond right away I am not ignoring you but just not in front of a compute (strict policy about using computer for personal use on my job) and those little screens on the cell phones is about ready to make me go half blind... I look forward to traveling on this road as we journey together0

I am also starting today and need accountability. Let's all get going and kick this thing off!
I am turning 34 tomorrow, and one year from now I have to renew my driver's license. Hoping to make a major change before i have to have that pic taken. I have about 75 pounds to lose at least.
I have a husband that is quite thin but is worried about losing 10 pounds. He is not in the same ballpark as I am. I have counted calories and lost up to about 25 pounds in the past , and then stopped and regained it all. I would really love to make it down to my ideal/goal weight this time. I have always stopped before getting anywhere near it.
I know I can do this! and I know all of you can do this too! let's stay in touch and do what it takes!
