Nutella is a lovely food! (If used in moderation).
I unfortunately have an insane desire to eat the entire jar when I open it so none in my house except if I fully intend to eat the entire jar.0 -
No food is bad food!
Unless you're talking about sardines. Sardines are bad food! :sick:0 -
I love Nutella! I know that it is very high in calories (I have MFP to thank for learning that) isn't as high in protein as peanut butter, and is full of sugar, but it's so yummy! I try to have it as a condiment for fruit. I don't eat it with bread or anything because I don't like it. But if I have some apples or strawberries, I'll use about a tablespoon of Nutella to use as a dipping sauce. That's probably a BIT healthier than straight chocolate or caramel sauce. As healthygreek said, it's all about moderation.0

Of course it's a good food! Hazelnuts and chocolate. Delicious!0 -
A spoonful, not bad, lots of sugar but OK. A jar full, not good. Everything in moderation.0

Stir a spoonful into plain Greek yogurt - delicious!0

Sardines are bad food!
Nah-uuh! I love Sardines!0 -
Nutella is only bad because once you dip that spoon in you just can't stop!!!! A whole jar of anything is bad for you!0

THIS!!!! I love to do this and put it on fruit for dessert.0 -
It's overly processed- highly caloric, and over sweeten
Try to find rawtella its a healthier alternative0 -
I've been having a spoonful in my Greek yogurt every day. It's my current craving when I've just gotten out of bed....sardines are delicious too, if they're Tiny Tots.0

Anything with lots of sugar winds up on my bad list, but that is just for me. If you can live with refined food, ENJOY! Sounds delicious.0

Yes. Give me your supply before it's too late.
*cough*0 -
Nutella is unmoderatable. It pretty much NEEDS to be eaten spoonful after tiny spoonful LOL0
-
it's like icing for toast.
Not really going to weigh in on the good/bad debate0 -

LOL. You're funny.0 -
it really depends what you are eating it off0
-
truth is you should look into RAWtella... SOO much healthier.0

it's delicious and not "bad" for you in moderation but, to say it's a "healthy" food, the way it is sometimes advertised, in untrue.0

Honestly, it's really unhealthful. Very high in calories with very little nutritional value.
That being said, it's only bad if you eat too much of it, just like every other kind of food. The bad news is it's really hard for most people to eat just a reasonable portion of it...0 -

^^^ This! I'm the same way!0 -
"Bad" food?
Did Nutella kick a puppy dog?
Did Nutella get anyone fired from their job?
Did Nutella sleep with someone else's partner?
No?
Then no, Nutella is not a "bad" food. Eating Nutella by the jarful every day might be a bad practice, however.0 -
there is no such thing as bad food... just people who eat badly!
nutella on toast.... sooooooooooooooo good!!! i treat myself to the single serving pots every so often, yum yum yum yum yum!!!0 -
Nutella is mostly palm oil and sugar, so if you define "bad food" as "food with little nutritional value," then yes, it is bad.
If you would like something a tiny bit healthier, but still delicious and calorie-dense, I really enjoy Peanut Butter &Co. Dark Chocolate Dreams. The flavour profile is similar, but with peanut butter over the palm oil.0 -

Foodgasm. I like the Cinnamon Raisin one.... omg SO FREAKING GOOD!0 -
I had Nutella last week and it was great. The best part was it wasnt really Nutella. It was a recipe to prepare cauliflower to make it taste EXACTLY like Nutella and boy was it GOOD!0

But, no, Nutella does not have a lot of nutritional value and I believe the first ingredient is sugar (which means there's more sugar than anything else in it).
However, if you enjoy it and like having it as a treat, there is nothing wrong with fitting it into your day.
Personally, I think it tastes like plastic and prefer Peanut Butter & Co. Dark Chocolate Dreams.0
