Every evening the potato chips are calling my name and I answer. Please help me find another food to substitute with, it seems like I crave the salt and crunch.

Make room in your day for a serving of chips.0

Or this!!
I eat the Pop Crisps instead of chips so I can also have ice cream )))))0 -
We buy Pop Chips in the 100-calorie bags. Having them pre-measured for portion control is a great thing.0

I eat popcorn every night. As long as your within your daily goals, I don't see a problem.0

Ice cream over chips any day! lol0 -
There is no substitute, but instead of chips I'm currently munching bright green olives from the salad bar.. it satisfies the fat & salt and eating around the pit is fun.0

Funny, I give my chips names and give them personalities. You'd think it would make them harder to eat, but it turns out mass murder is part of who I am.0

Kale chips are crunchy, tasty, and nutrient-rich. Much fewer calories than potato chips.0

Get them out of the house--throw them away!
If the voice in your head is telling you not to waste food, remind yourself regardless of whether they're in the garbage or in your body--they're still going to waste.0 -
100 calorie microwave popcorn. There are several brands and flavors to chose from. Even if you "go crazy" and have 2 it is still only 200 calories. :happy:0

Special k chips cheddar flavored are my favorite only 110 calories a serving or 100 calories bag of popcorn.0

Handful of wasabi peas! 1/3 cup (a lot of them) gets you a good crunch and the salt fix for about 120 (give or take 10, can't remember) calories. The heat from the wasabi also helps curb the ongoing craving.
Otherwise, get the chips that are tempting you OUT of your house. If they aren't there, you can't eat them. I no longer buy wheat thins for this very reason.0 -
I like snap pea crisps0
-
Instead of chips try roasted almonds or sunflower seeds.0
-
Don't give in. The craving will pass. Be strong! Distract yourself. Drink some water and go for a walk and get away from the house and any temptation. You can do this! Stay strong.0

I like pork rinds.. Good protein and no carbs0

The Popsecret Homestyle is only about 140 calories for the regular size and you get a better deal money wise.0 -

I feel really sorry for you.0 -
What helps me to deal with food like that is to say "there is no nutritional value for me here." Because before my thought was... Oh I'll do some jumping jacks to burn these calories off. Or think "I'll indulge now, and not eat anything else." But indulging in processed food has such a greater harm on us in the long run. "A moment of the lips..." forever in your body, sickening it. I'm sure those chips are far worse that being high in calories, and far worse than sodium content... The true problem is that its not REAL FOOD. reach for something that will benefit you and your life! Aren't we made to survive and sustain our lives?? Don't eat garbage. It's just that simple. And as soon as you stop eating processed fool and replacing it with an abundance of whole foods, there won't be a chip in sight to call your name! Maybe and hopefully just some kale chips! Ha!0

Or you could give them to homeless people. Nobody is going to care if they get cancer from the TOXINZ anyway.0 -

I love Chips!

You could consider getting your name changed to see if this helps.
(Don't tell the chips though or this plan will surely fail)0 -
Why don't you take the chips to the sink then put them down the garbage disposal. I had to do that with certain things until I got a handle on my 'need' to eat them.0
-
Where are the chips coming from? You're going to have to interrupt the supply chain. Is it a good idea for an alcoholic to keep a liquor cabinet full of goodies? Throw the chips out and do not buy them.0

You're NOT SPOSEDTA EAT THAT CRAP. It's a GARNISH!! Do you also eat the little plastic sword that holds the olive in your martini?
Just eat some damn chips. Sheesh.0 -
I eat Special K cracker chips! You can have 20 and then I eat homemade onion dip (which is kinda high in sodium, but better than the store bought stuff)0
