July goal: smashed!

At the beginning of July, I set a goal for myself. I wanted to "go" at least 50 miles by the end of the month, between running & the elliptical machine. I thought this was a pretty good goal, considering I had my appendix removed on June 19.

This morning, I got home from my last July run and decided to do a little math while I cooled off.

My total distance run for July was 21.05 miles. Total distance including running and elliptical... over 100 miles!

Now to figure out my August goal. I'd love to run more, but that will have to wait until it cools down a little bit.

    what a good idea!! I might try this as I am just starting out on the weight loss and hate that I am more food focussed as this causes me to slip up :(
    And I have just joined a gym so I might set myself a goal too, any suggestions on what would be a good goal as I usually aim too high and fail. I can't run yet due to the impact on my knees but I walk on treadmill and do cross trainer too. Maybe 50 miles over the month of August?
