I don't know about "thin"...but most things are easier when you're fit...and being lean is gravy...I have zero interested in being "skinny" or "thin". One of my wife's friends is very thin...she can't really do anything more or less physical than a fat person can because she's just thin...she has no muscle or anything like that.0

I think I get buzzed faster. Which I don't understand as I'd think my metabolism would be faster not slower, but there it is.0

The thing that made me decide to start losing weight......getting in the car and leaning over to close the door without having to HEAVE myself to reach it.0

Putting on tennis shoes and tying them without having to hold my breath!

And if I dropped something in the floorboard of the car, it was such a struggle to bend over and get it. That's such a silly little thing that I took for granted when I was thin...and two years after losing my first 60lbs, I still get giddy when I can just bend over and grab it.
and..Standing for any length of time without my knees talking back to me
I used to dread when there were no chairs and people started talking. I couldn't concentrate on what was being said because I knew I'd be paying for that conversation for a week.
Also...
Not cringing when a camera comes out and looking for something/someone to hide behind.
Not dreading the car sinking down when you sit in it, especially if everyone else is thin...
Clothes shopping of course.
The stupid stretchy pants. I love finding pants that fit, and knowing I can put them on, and they'll fit. And an hour later (gasp) they will STILL fit.
Pretty bras...and ones that I could not cut up and make curtains out of if I wanted...the pretty ones when you're fat have enough material to be a tablecloth...I always felt like I was wearing some kind of gaudy birthday cake.
These things are already accomplishments...
I still want to...
Not feel the need for shaping garments
PLAY WITH MY KIDS and not be wheezing and needing to sit down after a few minutes
RUN...and not have to sit for a week with my knee....or be out of breath after 30 seconds.
Be able to stand in front of people, and believe they're seeing me, not my fat.
Wear a bathing suit. Without darting into the pool.
Walk into the bedroom naked. With the lights on.0 -

No where near my gw but I can now do my job better. I've been an attendant on a bus for 18 years. The beginning of the year is usually so hard after a few months of sitting on the couch. This year I'm up and down with each kid at each school with no difficulty at all. AWESOME! I'm not winded! I'm not aching all over at the end of the day. My knees never hurt any more. I hadn't really realized all this til I started reading this post.
Cool shoes! I can't wait til cool shoes. Now I have to wear tennis shoes all the time.
Swirly skirts. I love swirly skirts. I'm going to wear them. YES I am!
Helping my daughter with the grandson. He's a chunk and I get tired holding him.
Eating smaller amounts and being satisfied. My friend who lost 80 pounds ENJOYS her food put in small amounts.
Making my dh smile cause I look good. Can't wait!
Inspiring others like my daughters. Showing them you can do anything if you stay with it.
Running all out. This is silly but I want my ponytail to swing back and forth like I see on other runners.
Going to the Y and not feeling either invisible or huge.
Being comfortable in a swimsuit.
Showing my mil that people can lose weight and stay thin. (She really is a sweetie).
Giving my Mom who I do love no reason to mention my weight like the other day even though I've lost 22 pounds.
Feeling good physically. Energy, Freedom of movement
Being free to dance at church without being self conscious.
Being taken seriously. Sometimes I'm not now.
Shinning. I've come to accept and love myself. I feel good about me right now. I'm a pretty, awesome person. But I am not seen that way by others.

This definitely. There are a lot of things that are easier when you carry less weight but there are soooooo many more that are easier again when you are fit and strong.

Yes, is it ever. I find less puffing and huffing when trying to get done anything, also I can squeeze in and out of my car better if I park too tightly.0

getting pregnant
This. Also:
Fitting into restaurant booths/airplane seats/seats at sporting events/etc.
Being able to walk through a turnstile without having to turn sideways and stand on my tiptoes.
Stand for long periods of time without getting dizzy or feeling like I'm going to pass out.
Keeping a normal body temperature and not sweating all the time.
Being able to hold a baby and have it sit on my lap. Actually, this should read: having a lap.
Paint my own toenails.
and so much more. The list is endless.0 -
I saw this elsewhere but I forgot to say that these are things that I now enjoy that I didn't before:
Having my picture taken. I love it now!! I feel so bright and bubbly and happy!
Feeling my husbands hands explore my new curves along my waist, hips, and booty. (woohoo)
Being able to outrun my 4 yr old nephew.
It is easier to wake up everyday when you have a purpose and a goal. I get up READY to kick that days butt.0 -
I can sit on the floor again! It's more comfortable now, I can put my legs where I want to, AND I can get up without the aid of furniture!
Squeezing into tight spaces - first flight last week since the weight came off, and I could get into the seat and change position, cross my legs, uncross my legs!
Walking is soo much easier! My feet love me again! My knees and hips don't hurt anymore and I can walk further and faster and carry stuff!
Looking at myself is a lot lot easier - photos, reflection. I used to avoid my image - photos were a form of torture, and I would go into changing rooms to try on clothes and just not look at my reflection! So I never looked to see if the thing was okay, it was just a case of "I can do it up, it'll do". Now, I'm posing for photos, enjoy looking at myself in them and a couple of weeks ago before going on holiday spent half a day trying on dresses and really really looking to see if they suited me!

Oh I'll add this too - someone said walking in sand - walking on stones and wearing heels! Both hurt less.0 -
plane trips, driving long distances in the car, shopping for clothes, even things as basic as wiping your butt in the toilet
can't wait to get there again!0 -
Riding roller coasters. Last year, we went to Six Flags and I had to watch everyone ride roller coasters because I couldn't fit in the seats...
Also, I look forward to being able to sit in a lawn chair without wondering what the weight capacity is, and if I'm going to break it and fall on my butt in front of everybody.0 -

EVERYTHING is easier, everything you can possibly think of is easier.
Pretty much... With the exception of eating!
Before I lost the weight I ate whatever I felt like. These days I spend much more time researching what's in foods, weighing and measuring foods, and tracking what I eat. I spend a lot more time on food-related activities now that I want to make educated and sensible food choices than when I ate like a garbage disposal.0
