electronic cigarettes

I used an e-cigarette and it totally helped me quit. My last real cigarette was 3/28/12. It definitely helps with the oral habit and it was nice to have during the times that you are really craving a cigarette. I gradually reduced the level of nicotin I would use and now I don't even use it anymore. I am totally smoke free and will never be trapped by that addiction again! If I can do it (even with my husband continuing to be a smoker), anyone can do it!!! Good luck and I give you kudos for trying to quit!!!0

I swear by my electronic cigarette! I started them a few months ago. Have gone from smoking 20 normal ciggs a day, to about 10 a week. Plus you don't stink of smoke all the time, and you can smoke them almost everywhere!0

I purchased my Unique Cig last August.... Tried it... put it away... smoked.... brought it out again... used it... put it away... smoked again... Then I set myself a date of Nov 1 to use it and no more smoking.... I haven't had a cigerette since  I will admit it is really different at first.,,. and it took time to adjust... But I love it now and will never go back... Love the Orange, blueberry pomegrante and vanilla flavors. It is nice cause now I can "vapor" just about anywhere and I don't stink or offend anyone around me... Also, I felt so much better within a week... No more coughing and shortness of breath...
I agree it is up to you... Just do it... But .... Stick with it... It will be worth it :laugh:0 -
I've been smoke free since September 2012 using my e-cig. I slowly wittled down the nicotine content in my e-juice to zero nicotine over the course of about 6 months. I hardly even touch the thing anymore, but I do keep it handy for when I get those urges...still get them even after 9 months, but I guess that's to be expected...I was a 2-3 PAD smoker for almost 20 years.
I'll be honest, it's a lot easier than any other method I've tried, but it's still not easy. The first few weeks took pretty much everything I had to just reach for my e-cig rather than a smoke...after about a month or so though, I was well on my way. I also kept an online ticker that I looked at everyday for inspiration...it told me number of hours and day smoke free as well as how many cigarettes I avoided, as well as $$$ saved.
It's definitely been worth it...back in September I could barely walk the dog around the block without getting winded and needing a nap...now I'm triathlon training...go figure.0 -
I used e-cigarettes and they helped me quit. I found that I "smoked" the e-cigarette as often as I did real cigarettes at first, but used them less frequently as time passed by. By the 4th month, I stopped using the e-cigarettes completely. I have been smoke-free for over a year now. Good luck0

I was a pack and a half a day smoker. When I decided to change my lifestyle I started running. I such problems breathing( for obvious reasons) I ordered the e-cig and quit immediately. I have been smoking the e-cigs for over a year. If I can do it, anyone can. I was so addicted to cigarettes. Good luck!0
