Chlorine and hair?

Can anyone recommend a good shampoo to use once I get out of the pool? I want to get rid of the chlorine. I am swimming a lot this summer.
Thanks

I use L'Oreal shampoo and conditioner, it's the conditioner that really brings the life back into my hair.

I use Tresemme Moisturizing shampoo, and conditioner, and every 2nd day, I use a deep conditioner from Redken (or Redkin?) .. anyway it's from the hair dresser. I've also started putting a bit or Moroccan Oil in my hair.. it feels awful from the pool and the heat!

Just saw that you are male, and may not worry about frizz as much as I do.. Make sure you use a good shampoo and conditioner (Why don't men - well the men I know - use conditioner?!)

I think this shampoo and conditioner is the most effective in locking and removing the chlorine. I use both, just a shampoo won't do it.

Get your hair wet and condition it before getting into the water. It will absorb less chlorine. They do sell shampoos specifically for swimmers. Swimoutlet.com and search shampoo.

Yes this exactly. I had to do this way back when I was on the swim team. I have thick hair that can be dry and it absorbs the pool water like a sponge and would get very dry. You can also consider a swim cap. That really helped me out, though it always gave me a headache.

Use Ketchup on your hair to prevent it from going green...

and then use whatever is left over on food.

    Now its fitness related =)

Wet hair and put conditioner on before getting in the pool, don't wash it off!

Also, don't shampoo everyday. Shampooing everyday damages the cuticle because it opens it to remove the dirt and grease trapped underneath, conditioner smooths it back down (so always condition!)
Instead of shampooing everyday, just rinse and condition and wash out every other day to prevent your hair drying out from over shampooing.

If you're really concerned, buy a swimming cap! ;)

    I always wear a cap.

Swimming has hurt my hair, but I do it because it's done this to my bod since April:
